How the how the hell do you set this thing? I didnt get instructions

There are videos on YouTube showing how to set up this style trap.

Can the trap be set vertically on a house side or only on the ground?

The trigger is very sensitive. I'm thinking that it would be difficult to set the trap in a vertical position especially with any added weight from the bait added to the trigger which would pull it sideways.

will this work for birds smaller than a pigeon? trying to humanely catch small birds that made a home in my attic

It would catch a bird slightly smaller than a pigeon you could put a tighter weaved net on the trap and catch a smaller bird
