I loved it!! Beautiful rich flavor with a strong fresh peppery kick , honestly tasted even better than some premium EVOOs I’ve tried before. Feels very high quality and fresh. Used it for cooking and drizzle both, and the taste stays amazing. Only downside is the pouring design. The tin packaging itself is fine, as dark is recommended but oil tends to drip down the sides from the plastic nozzle while pouring. Would be perfect if they improved the pour spout design. Definitely buying again.

Nice fresh tasting oil, single origin, tingles on the tongue, fresh, can is in good condition, excellent on salad, pasta and focaccia.

I used this for both cooking and for finishing. I thought it was just fine & noticed that it’s highly awarded &has plenty of praise from chefs. I prefer a fruitier/grassier/greener flavor. Again , it’s smooth & fine, but I like a little more umph. Likewise, smell didn’t knock me out and I guess I had hoped for something a bit more green in terms of color . I will be trying other brands to see if I can get more intensely flavored oil. It kept fine in tin can until the end. No problems with delivery-no dented can. Again, it’s was a perfectly nice oil & I would use it again.

Good tasting product but bemoved a star for packaging. 1) arrived dented, please see pictures, assuming both Iliada and Amazon can do better. Iliada: the bubble wrap was good to protect sides and kept it snug there but bottom and top had no padding, hence dent. Amazon, there was a minimal amount of packaging as you can see in the picture for the second box. 2) Iliada: when I went to taste it, it was great! Then I went to close the spout and it pushed right through to the inside of the canteen. Looking forward to improvements.

Delicious! When Trader Joe's stopped carrying my favorite Kalamata olive oil I searched for a replacement. This product is ideal, and I love that it comes in a metal can to protect it from sun/heat. I bought glass bottles for myself and my friends to transfer into for every day use. My only caution is if you follow my example and offer this to your friends, expect them to show up from time to time requesting a refill.

I have been buying this oil for years. It is the best available on the US market in terms of quality, European certification, flavor, natural benefits, and safety. Highly recommended!

Great oil already finished it. A little pricy though

Having watched the odd TV documentary about food, and in particular olive oil, it would seem that the veracity of olive oil can often be questionable. There have even been books written about the murky world of olive oil production ( Extra Virginity: The Sublime and Scandalous World of Olive Oil for example). Even expensive olive oil bought in supermarkets can often apparently be of dubious purity. This Iliada olive oil from the Kalamata region of Greece has PDO status so you would certainly hope that it is genuine. Kalamata olive oil certainly has a good reputation, and the taste of this particular oil is certainly different from most others that I have sampled in the past. I would call the taste sweet and almost nutty. This is very good news for me as when it comes to eating olives and consuming olive oil, the one thing that puts me off is when the olives or their oil taste bitter. You certainly could not accuse this Iliada olive oil of tasting bitter. I am not the world's leading expert on olive oil, but I have travelled to Greece and Italy many times and have eaten in many restaurants there and consumed a lot of olive oil. I would like to think I could tell most of the time if olive oil is of poor quality or adulterated and I certainly don't believe this olive oil is. The best before date was around 16 months after the date of delivery.

This is a great olive oil, so far we've used it for frying and salad dressings. Some olive oils have very strong tastes but this one doesn't, it's a very smooth flavour and texture. It's also priced very well, it's actually about the same price as an equivalent olive oil in a supermarket (0.60gbp per 100ml). One of the main reasons we got this was to reduce plastic and waste in general. Having 3 Litres and re-filling a small glass bottle is a much more eco-friendly way to use oil. In addition it's mostly metal, with the only plastic being the spout and handle. Very happy with this, will be buying again in the future!

I'm not an expert on olive oil, but this is really nice. Pale colour, tasty, really nice smell. Have bought before, and will again. As well as cooking, it's great for the skin. I use it to soothe sore or dry skin, and instead of shaving foam (sounds odd, but works really well - much less burn than foam or gel, and no nasty chemicals!). The tin seems a bit excessive as packaging, but I'll pull the spout out, wash it and take it to the metal recycling when it's finished. Talking of the spout, it's not the easiest. Very gluggy and hard to control when it's full, but you kinda get the hang of it.

I would not call this ''the best olive oil'' as many people keep touting it seems like nearly every olive oil I stumble on there's always someone screaming ''this is the best'' well its not but for the price its a great oil for sure especially for cooking I noticed it doesn't burn like the other olive oils I've used, as I'm trying to move away from using EV-coconut oil for cooking and trying to use olive oil, this has been good so far, the majority of olive oils from your local supermarket are terrible and I think the average consumer is used to having bad olive oil, this olive oil is great for the price for cooking or maybe other uses, but I would use this for cooking and use Carapelli Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil for dressing the food, that I noticed is the best oil ive tried from a supermarket, and if you want more special olive oil than try Laudemio Frescobaldi or Gonnelli, these last two are what real fresh olive oil should really taste like, and I would advise only for dressing food etc as its expensive
