Review: We used this for a full size murphy bed! Came with instructions. No issues putting in. My boys are 6'6 and 6'8 so we needed something that would support them when they come to visit. I have slept on it several times and I'm 6'1 and 220 pounds and it feels solid. We did make to small wooden pieces to put at the end of the bed due to my boys sizes and it seems to help. Instructions were easy to follow and no issues putting in. Holds av10 inch mattress with matress pad with no issues! Would buy again 5 stars. Assembly went well with no issues! Delivered fast, came with everything that was stated in description. I'm sure you could fabricate something similar and use the hardware, but the instructions included are really specific to the 1/8th of an inch and correct placement of hardware is crucial to assembly. It includes directions for all cuts for panels from 48"x96" sheets that maximize the total amounts of wood without waste. also that dvd is pretty step by step. When installing the pistons to frame i realized how crucial and glad i measured correctly all mounting points. All n All its was a fun project can be done in a weekend, I used the 3/4 plywood option ran me about 250 for supplies and paint, and its a sturdy piece.hope this helps... **Q: what weight capacity can the hardware handle** A: Well, I'm a big guy ... 5'11'' & 240lbs.. My wife is (Whoa...I almost messed up there!!!). Anyways, I think this bed, once assembled correctly, will easily handle 500lbs. The parts are well built and work perfect! I have read some other reviews criticizing the instructions. I can see no reason for criticism: the instructions are excellent. I cant see anyway to make them better. Three booklets with online video instructions, perfect! There is a fair bit of work involved with all the cutting that is required, but once that is complete, it goes together very smoothly. At least that was my experience and, again, I would argue its due to the great instructions.
