GYEON Wet Coat Spray-On Rinse Off Hydrophobic Gloss Coating for Cars 500ml

This stuff is awesome. So easy to apply and works. I just use a couple of sprays after washing and it couldn’t be easier. Also helps with bug removal. When it rains it almost self washes. Just bought a 25 ft rv and treated before we took a trip and when we got back, looked like we had it detailed.

I was really impressed with how easy it was to use and the results. Applying it right before the last rinse (after you ensured the car is nice and clean) makes the paint glossy and slick... comparable to a good waxing or ceramic coating. It doesn't last long (and it's not really meant to), but it carries you from wash to wash making it easier to rinse off dirt and grim on your next wash. It provides a decent amount of hydrophobic behavior during the time between washes. Application is super simple... light spray on surface, rinse off right away (do small sections at a time, as they recommend to rinse within seconds of application). It also helps with the drying, as most of the water runs off.

Really easy to use, spray on and use your pressure washer to rinse off. I had some concerns about excess product getting stuck in seams (around doors and lights) but after using this in a couple of vehicles I haven’t noticed any build up in these areas. I predominantly only use this as a ceramic coating maintenance topper; however, I tried it as a stand alone protection and it worked as advertised. I don’t think it will hold up over time on its own (based on the performance of similar products) but it does immediately offer hydrophobic properties to even an uncoated/unprotected vehicle. As a stand alone I am not sure how long this will last but as a ceramic coating booster you can see the added hydrophobic properties for about two months. For my customers with ceramic coats I use this as an add on that I offer every two months because of this time frame. Because this is spray on rise off, the added time to washes is only about 5 minutes and it reduces the drying time (with a blower) significantly. I highly recommend this product to help you or your customers get the most from their ceramic coatings and boost the longevity of ceramic coatings.

This stuff is amazing. I wash my car once every 1-1.5 months, and I apply this product on every wash. It produces a nice gloss, water-beading, hydrophobic effect. It serves well as the only protective surface on my car. I find it lasts approx 3 months, though I have indoor parking and it probably won't last as long if I street parked it. Once I managed to get it to last through an entire winter season with one application, though it was basically 80% ineffective by the time spring rolled around. Unfortunately, this spray will stain and streak if applied improperly, and I've learned many ways to use it wrong. Things I've learned: 1. When Gyeon says "don't use on hot panel or direct sunlight" they mean it. If it dries quickly without being rinsed/wiped off, it will stain. Sometimes you HAVE to wash your car in a hot summer day, but if that's the case, try to park under an awning or turn the car to work on the shaded side. Be quick and work on one panel at a time. 2. Be mindful of areas on your car where water can drip and pool. For me, that's the area right behind the trunk and the door jams. If it's not dried off quickly, it will stain. 3. Gyeon recommends you spray on a wet panel and wash it off. This works fine. However, sometimes this will cause overspray to a different part of the car (ie: hood overspray to windshield, or door overspray to plastic trim). This needs to be sprayed off/cleaned quickly or it will stain. I've seen some folks spray this directly on a microfiber cloth and apply it to the panel by hand. Probably safer, but it's more time consuming. 4. Don't use too much. I use maybe 30-40 "pumps" of the spray trigger for the entire body of the car. 5 into the hood. 5 into the roof. 7-8 into the entire left side of the car, then same thing to the right. Then 2 to the trunk, 2 between the taillights. Too much product makes it hard to wash off, which will leave smears. 5. Can use this on glass to get a nice waterbeading Rain-X effect. I did it for a few washes, but then I put a real glass product on and stopped using Wetcoat for this purpose. 6. Can use this in wheel wells. Works great at preventing break dust from sticking to wheels, though it can sometimes be hard to spread product throughout the wheel spokes evenly. Will add more tips if I think of them.

Easy application and it provides a slick free shine with extra protection. As a picky retired military member, I find myself more cynical and pretty much scrutinize any purchases or claimed facts. Being 65 years old I don’t have the elbow grease of a youngster but there’s not much required with this application. I completed the truck starting with the roof and hood. Then made my way down the sides. You’ll want to make sure the vehicle is still wet, just after washing and rinsing but before drying; spray the top of the front fender, give it less than a blink and then rinse; complete a section at a time I.e. driver fender, driver door, driver bed, tailgate etc., as this cannot be allowed to dry. There’s a lot of buffing that will need to occur when that happens but completing this in sections will prevent that. Also, after spraying a section, spread this spray with plenty of water and do so without allowing it to sit. In other words spray, rinse, continue. When spraying the vehicle you’ll start at the highest point as when it’s sprayed off it’ll run down other sections to provide coverage. You’ll want to make sure you do get enough of the compound onto the vehicle. Also you cannot let this dry NOR do you want to use this when the daylight sun is at its peak or if the atmosphere is very dry. I wash and spray at 8am when the sun is just coming up and the humidity is normally higher. The results are truly beautiful.

I used to use Meguiars ceramix spray wax that you would use after you wash your car and its still wet. I decided to buy 4 other brands of similar style (spray and rinse off after wash). I started with this one first and this stuff is amazing. I was my cars and while still wet, I spray liberally and then use my pressure washer to "wash off" and it makes drying the car with my leaf blower a breeze... plus the water beads up even after a week or so. I was impressed by this so much that I haven't even tried the other 3 brands yet lol.

In the never ending carousel of car detailing products I've bought, I got both the Gyeon Cure and Wet Coat to try out. I'm copy/pasting this review for the Gyeon Cure product page as well for continuity. Compared to Cure, this is easier to use because it's less wiping after the car is dry and unlike Cure, you won't have to go through several more microfiber towels to get rid of the streaking if it sits too long or you use too much. This product is pretty fool proof. Overall though, the results are fantastic and after using both this and Cure, I can't tell any visual, slickness or hydrophobic differences between the two products so just from a pure ease of application and less time wiping the car, I would get this and then maybe follow up with something like P&S Dream Maker if you want just a bit more gloss. As for longevity, Jeff says it's supposed to last 10-12 weeks but I wash my cars once a month and I can tell after just 4 weeks that the paint is less hydrophobic and for that reason, I would say it probably wouldn't hurt to use this once a month or if you wash less frequently than once per month, just use it after each wash. It's so easy to use, it's kind of a no-brainer. Other details on the vehicle in the pics is that it got full correction and polish done as well as Gtechniq Ceramic coating done and is washed with an initial Gtechniq citrus foam, rinse and then the Gtechniq W3 ceramic wash.

Easy to use as no need to wait it to dry or cure. Just a few spray and quickly rinse it out - tada! Hydrophobic attributes just got a boost.

The coat lasts a good 2-3 months until I need to reapply it. A lot cheaper than having a ceramic coat done and super easy to apply after wash your car. I get better results from applying it with a towel than spray/rinse method.

Personnellement, et comme beaucoup d'amateurs du detailing, je préfère pulvériser le véhicule sur la carrosserie mouillée, et l'essuyer avec une microfibre. Je recommande.
