thanks for the answers how come until the engine cools down and the thermostat returns to its place the engine does not start .. is that the problem

Are you saying the engine will start when it is cold and run normally but when it warms up it stalls and will not restart until it cools down?

Is this part compatible with toro 20332 model (312 series) lawn mower? it includes a briggs&stratton 128m02-3425-b1 engine.

Look up your mowers manual and look for Listing of parts. When you find the part it gives you the necessary part number. Pretty easy.

Takes 6-7 pulls when cold but once warm starts right up. What’s wrong ?

Mine did the opposite. Started cold & when warm it wouldn’t. It might still be the automatic choke thermostat. My spring was worn out & I replaced it. After that 1 or 2 pulls & started. Also replace the air vane spring.. you can find video on u-tube how to replace & the correct position of the thermostat to the air vane arm..
