WD 5TB WD Elements Portable External Hard Drive, USB 3.0 - WDBU6Y0050BBK-WESN

Packaging was WD default which wasn't put in any other padding to protect the box itself, some bubble wrap would've been nice. But the box was sealed, drive itself was brand new and working without a hassle. I'll update after some months' usage.

We received the product on the same day it was ordered, which was highly impressive. The hard drive itself is excellent – fast and efficient performance with a sleek and functional design. It worked perfectly fine for around 1 year. However, one day it just stopped showing the data. I suspect it was due to PC being switched off suddenly due to power gone off. The entire 4 TB worth of data went off. It was tempting to buy this as the most reasonable offer at the time. Tried few apps to recover data but unable to do so.

Wish it was cheaper. I was going to wait for this to go on sale but it never did and I was desperate for hard drive space. I've had it for a few weeks now and it's constantly plugged in because I use it as external space on my mac computer for studying at home (a lot of lecture videos). Seems pretty reliable, had no issues at all with setup or connectivity. When I got it I formatted in as Mac-os journaled like the website instructions say. The blue light is annoying at night so I had to hide the drive under my monitor stand but no big deal.

Très satisfait de ce disque dur externe WD Elements. Avec ses 5 To, il offre énormément d’espace pour stocker photos, vidéos, documents et sauvegardes sans avoir à se soucier rapidement du manque de place. L’installation est vraiment simple : il suffit de le brancher en USB et il est immédiatement reconnu sous Windows. Les transferts sont également suffisamment rapides pour un usage quotidien grâce à l’USB 3.0. Malgré sa capacité importante, le disque reste assez compact pour être facilement transporté. C’est exactement ce que je recherchais pour disposer d’un gros espace de stockage externe sans installation compliquée. Un produit simple, efficace et fiable, avec un excellent rapport capacité/prix. Je recommande sans hésiter.
