The Secret Life of Pets Big Golden Book (Secret Life of Pets)

My 5 year old nephew, just loved loved loved the colorful images! We read it together a few times! It's a nice hard cover children's book, attracts the child's interest due to the movie, as well as the nature of the story, that of love, care, forgiving, without the pesky animation in the movie that may digress the purpose of the story. My nephew loves all pets, he's interested to know more about dogs & their natural loyal behavior. Overall to us the book is a success!

Worst book about a movie ever written! I always purchase the book to read the plot and find any potential "scary" parts to prepare my kids before they see the movie. The Big Golden Books always do the best job of providing the most detail of the plot. This book introduces the characters and then reveals that Katie, the owner, brings home another dog. That's it! The end. Seeing the trailer, I know that Max tries to get rid of the new dog and they get lost. There is absolutely no plot!! I cannot believe I wasted my money on this book!

Our 5 year old loves the colourful pictures in this book. But we were a bit disappointed that it didn't tell the whole movie story as we expected. Perhaps this was explained in the description we missed it.

The only explanation I have is that they will be selling another book with the actual plot. Or there was a printer mishap. Like the other reviews said, it introduces the characters, then has one page of the beginning of the story and that's that. I understand - maybe they don't want to release the plot. But then don't take our money for this book.

Similar to other reviewers I buy the book before we see the movie to ensure ok for my two daughters. All this book is, is the trailer we saw at the movies. Read to my daughter last night and she was like "that's it?". Waste of time and money. 🙁

This book had only 12 Pages where as the in the description it says "Hardcover: 32 pages".This is Open cheating. This is the 6th or 7th Golden Book I have have purchased but got this bad feedback for the first time.I am returning it. Advice to all "DONT BUY IT" Its starts with the story and ends it before even properly starting
