Very good for the price
I have a couple of these reels on good rods, they work great. Its like anything, you can spend 2 to 3 times the price for "better" reels, but only get a little bit more in quality. These were perfect for my "guest" rod and reels and I like using them too. Cant go wrong with these reels.

Customer service $ucks
It’s so loud grinding sound after one use it’s annoying to listen to, I contacted the company and they want $20 plus shipping to look at it. It would cost more then the reel, I decided to use it as a paperweight and will never buy lews again. Also the American Hero is made in China? You can buy it but be prepared to keep it if something goes wrong.
