When it came it had some crystalization between the teeth, says it's normal, I brushed with it anyway. The comb had some weight to it but not too heavy. Once when I pluck the teeth it gave musical sounds! I guess that's like how a thumbpiano works. It was easy to brush with, no hassle. Went through my hair smoothly even when my hair is tangled. When I brush it, the comb made a distinctive sound like that of sawing wood. Unlike the quiet peach wood comb, I had before this one. Talking about the sandalwood smell, I didn't smell it at all. Only when I put my nose close to it, did I smell something, but that wasn't a pleasant smell either. Smells like a wood-processing factory. All in all, this comb was great.
