Its ultra-adjustable cradle grid accommodates optics without re-zeroing, making it ideal for upgrading existing safes or cabinets. Easy to install with included hardware or alternative mounting options, it protects your firearms investment by preventing scratches and optimizing space in small areas. ## Description Made from a state-of-the-art, lightweight olefin, Retrofit Kit 2 gives you a more economical, yet high-performing application of the Cradle Grid system. Retrofit any safe or locking cabinet to properly store any combination of 2 modern sporting rifles, tactical firearms, and traditional long guns. Consider This: If you want to upgrade your current gun safe, protect your valuable firearms from damage, or organize your weapons for quick access — the Retrofit kits will help you do that. We have a few different options to fit different needs. All of the kits come with hardware to attach them to the inside of a safe. Specifically, 4 drywall anchors and 4 sheetrock screws. The smallest kit is the Retrofit Kit 2, it’s great for organizing your tactical weapons for quick access or deployment. Sometimes our customers will outfit half of their safe with a Retrofit Kit 2 for their MSRs and keep their lever actions or shotguns in the old half of their safe. The Retrofit Kit 2 uses an injection-molded olefin grid wall, which is rated for the same weight as the steel panel but is much lighter. You will need at least 6″ of space to install the Retrofit Kit 2. If you don’t feel comfortable fastening the grid wall into your safe with screws, the Retrofit Kits are the best option as you can attach them with Velcro, double-sided tape, or a construction adhesive. Review: Works great. - I was using one of those rod systems which was cumbersome and annoying. Had high hopes for this system and it did not disappoint. This thing is awesome - easy to install and use and keeps everyung neat, tidy, and secure. Highly reccomend. Review: Must have for long guns in a safe. - This is an excellent kit. The instillation wasn't to difficult. I just drilled straight through the back of the safe and mounted the attachment plate and that was it. The rest of the setup was easy as pie. The great thing is that the more firearms you buy the more of these you can purchase and link together as long as they fit in the safe. This is a must for anyone who wants to store and organize long guns. ## Features - INCLUDES- The Retrofit Kit 2 can accommodate 2 sporting rifles, tactical long guns, or traditional firearms. The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is for the price. $70 is high for molded plastic. ## Frequently Bought Together - SecureIt Gun Storage Gun Safe Kit: Retrofit 2 - Safely Organize Your Guns with This Easy to Use Modular System, Protect Your Guns Investment from Scratches. - SecureIt Gun Storage Gun Safe Kit: Retrofit 6 - Safely Organize Your Guns with This Easy to Use Modular System, Protect Your Guns Investment from Scratches. … --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/29348504-gun-storage-gun-safe-kit-retrofit-2-safely-organize-your](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/29348504-gun-storage-gun-safe-kit-retrofit-2-safely-organize-your) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
