HITTI 12X Magnifying Glass with Light, 1,800 Lumens Stepless Dimmable

I recently got the 5X LED Magnifying Lamp, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my tech workspace. I mainly use it while working on laptops and computers, especially for spotting issues on motherboards, and it’s been a game-changer. The 1,800 lumens are super bright, and I love the stepless dimming feature, which lets me adjust the light perfectly for any task. The three color modes help reduce eye strain, which is a big plus when I’m working long hours. The 8-diopter 4.2" real glass lens gives me a crystal-clear view, which is essential for the detailed work I do. It’s amazing how much easier it is to see tiny components and connections clearly. The lamp’s design is sleek, and I really appreciate the clamp feature. The stand doesn’t stay balanced when fully extended, so the clamp is perfect for keeping it secure and stable on my desk. I purchased this because I have a hobby of fixing jewelry. I am so please with the sturdiness and convenience of this magnifier! I need room for my hands between me and the piece I'm working on and this allows me to move in many different situations. The stand is heavy and very sturdy, no tipping. I didn't realize how helpful the different colors and brightness can be - what a difference!

PROS -The light is great. Very bright when you need it to be with 3 adjustment levels, but the fact that you can make the color "softer" to imitate a more natural and less harsh effect helps with seeing colors properly. -The magnifying lens is made of glass, not plastic. Which makes it more durable, easier to clean, and much clearer than a plastic lens. -5x magnification. Most of the other lamps in this price range only have 2.5 magnification, with a small one inch diameter 5x "cyclops" that I found myself using most of the time. CONS - It works fine and you do get used to it rather quickly, but I almost put the whole lamp back in the box and returned it before actually using it because it just didn't have a quality "feel" to it. -The arm is awkward, and a bit "janky". Adjust-ability and range of motion is rather limited and it takes some time getting it where you want. Especially at first. -The base is too light. If you extent the arm out to it's fullest, the lamp will tip over. A 2lb dumbell weight fixes this, but it isn't something that should need fixing in the first place. It's not perfect by any means. However, for the price. The quality and reliability are where it's needed to be. To get better, I would expect to pay double or significantly more for the features this lamp has. Best I can say is if this doesn't give you what you want, you are probably shopping at the wrong price point.

Tried out my new magnifying lamp this morning! This was my "splurge" on myself so that I could take my stitching with me on vacation. I had purchased a desk style lamp from Harbor Freight last year for less and it was so bad that I returned it. I am so excited, because not only will it work for vacation, but it only requires me to loosen the thumb screw and I can put it all back in the box! It's essentially portable. (The photo is putting it back in, not taking it out) It's fairly heavy - 5#. But that's what is needed because the base is heavy enough that it won't tip regardless of how you adjust the arm. It's got bright and warm lights, several different intensities, and it plugs in to a USB block. Might even work in a car? It comes with a clamp, but I don't need another clamp lamp, so didn't try that feature. Totally worth it.

I needed a light close to my sewing machine so I could see to sew. This light works great. Well worth the money. You can use the very base or, like I did attach it to my sewing desk with a clamp. I t also has a magnifying glass with it which is very handy at times.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I like the magnifier, lamp, and long arm. Allows me to have it reach around my screen and light up my keyboard at night. But two things: the lamp and arm. The lamp is flourescent, not LED. And the darn arm won't stay in any position. I have to tighten and retighten the wing nuts. And the bottom springs are so stiff it pulls the arm down. It would be nice if the springs and weight of the lamp/arms were balanced so that I could just pull it into position and it would stay.

Update: After I posted my feedback on the first item I got, Hitti contacted me through email and offered a replacement with an upgraded product, I agreed. A couple of days later, I got the upgraded product. When I opened the box, I saw the new base. It looks more reliable. I assembled the lamp and was very happy that the base could handle the weight of the lamp head. For the desk lamp, I would rate it 3-4 stars. Why?, it's because I only got it for a few days, some electrical problem might occur (hope not). But the built is good, the lights have 3 solid modes and dimmable. But I will give 5 stars to their customer service. They were quick to react to my feedback and quick to rectify the mistakes. They value their customer and I greatly appreciate it. People from Hitti, thank you very much. Old Review: Everything about this lamp is decent the base is really bad. The lamp/magnifying glass is as heavy as the base. So when you positioned the lamp towards you, it'll tip forward (see video). I contemplating to return this and get a different one but I got this on Prime day and saved almost $15.

Really comes in so handy when you least expect it. The quality and design is so good, and being able to use it mounted on table or stand alone makes it more accessible. My husband has already used it on several repairs that he would be struggling with .
