It's not slippery to the floor, but it does move a little. I have to move it back in place every day or two to keep it where I want it. It's generally a couple of inches. (It's not a big deal.) The advantage is if I want if in front of a counter because I'm doing a lot of prep it's easy to move.

I bought this mat because the laundry cart (also purchased here in Amazon) kept marking the floor when rolling the cart out. Given that the cart is functional, pretty, easy to clean and so pretty, decided to buy a mat for it, and am beyond thrilled at how this mat has performed. I waited 7 months to ensure that this review was accurate. It always holds its shape, regardless of how long the cart's wheels may be on any given spot. It is cushiony and puffs right back up. Just gorgeous. It is also an excellent material because it won't leave a mark on the floor as other plastic mats do, and given the temperature changes between a washer and dryer, it still looks brand new regardless of same. I couldn't be happier with this purchase! Oh, it also allows the cart to roll effortlessly, despite its thickness. A very well made product!
