Pretty good boot jack! Does not scratch the boot and worked pretty well! Unfortunately mine broke last night after only four months of use. Though, to be fair, my wife and I had to struggle for 15 minutes to get the boot off after it broke. I will be buying this again. Under normal circumstances this boot jack would not have broke. Had surgery on my left ankle and had a lot of hardware installed and the ankle just doesn’t bend as much, making my left boot much tighter! It worked wonderfully for my right boot.

This boot jack is perfect and works great! For those of us who have cowboy boots (no zippers) this is the perfect tool for removing boots and I'm so glad someone told me about it!

What I didn't like is the designation this item is size "small." Many if not most people think that means it will only work on small boots, such as a children or women's boots. This is not the case. "Small" merely distinguishes it from the physical difference in dimensions of Ariat's larger boot jack and has nothing to do with the size of the boot it can pull. It actually easily works well on large boots. My boot size is eleven and it works as well as the plastic Job Site and Boot Hunter boot pullers except for two things-- this Ariat boot jack is not plastic and seems sturdier. OK, a third thing-- I think it looks a heckuva lot better than the plastic ones if you plan on leaving it out by the front door, for example. Just eyeballing the Ariat and Job Site pullers, they appear to be the exact same size. This item is the type of quality, design and construction characteristic of the Ariat brand. Unfortunately for whoever is selling this item on amazon I'm guessing sales are lost from people thinking a "small" won't work on their boots. Fortunately for me, I took a chance it would work on my large boots and got a good product at a great price.

Ariat Jack - is study and does the job well. I have been using everyday since its arrival. And will repurchase again as gifts. Very satisfied!

Ariat Boot Jack met my expectation. OMG at first site I thought this is so small, how will it help to get my boot off. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to remove boot, without fuss. Very little effort. I love it, best buy.
