It’s a pamphlet
First impression was that I expected a paperback book , not a pamphlet, look forward to reading it though .

Very dry and boring - just a list of dates and films - no story and no history of the feud between the sisters. Not very good

Olivia de Havilland & Joan Fontaine Rival Sisters
This was a very good book with a lot of details I didn't know about these two wonderful movie stars and rival sisters. They were both very talented and beautifu. They made some wonderful movies in the 1930's & 40's and some into the later years during the glamours era of Hollywood.I recommend it to anyone who like this period.

Interesting look at sibling rivalry
Well written if you want to read a history text. It is too bad there isn't more emotion in it.

Interesting Reading
Very interesting account of the highlights of the biographies and careers of these sisters, actresses and rivals. Both Olivia and Joan had streaks of cruelty, which is well documented here. Their dislike and contempt for each other was mutual. Quick read and fascinating for any fans of older Hollywood.

Maid Marion NOT Melanie!!!
It was okay but the author's obsession and continued assertion throughout the book that Gone With The Wind was the first movie that put De Havilland on the A-List is both irritating and incorrect. Her turn as Maid Marion in 1938's The Adventures of Robin Hood is the role which turned her into a major star, although she had already been promoted to leading lady status in Captain Blood in the mid-30's. By the time Gone With The Wind rolled about, she was already a firmly established star and it is as Maid Marion that she will be most famously remembered - not Melanie.
