Great product and easily installed. Makes opening the tailgate so easy. This product works as advertised and I would highly recommend it.

Once you have the right tools this is quick and easy to install on your tailgate! It took me a while to acquire a 10mm wrench but once I did it took maybe 5 minutes to install on my 2010 Ford F150. The tailgate lowers smooth as butter and is still easy to close. It’s a simple product so there’s not a lot to say. It looks nice, feels like quality and works as advertised. Two thumbs up and an easy 5-stars.

This attached easily to my 2014 F150 and makes the opening of the tailgate a lot smoother and slower. No need to hold it up when opening so it won't "slam" down. Feels like it's not there when you close the tailgate too.

Fairlily easy to install. The supposed color instructions were in black and white and not easy to follow. Especially explaining the self tapping screw. I figured it out after a few youtube videos. Besides that, the product works as intended. It is a great addition to the truck. I should have done it sooner.

This took about 15 minutes to install. Works well, no idea on durability.

The other 1 star reviews are spot on. I’ve had this installed for two weeks and the ball bolt has come loose and the strut cap is cracked that connects to it already. The strut does not extend enough for the tailgate to fully be down which put too much pressure on it and cracked. The ball bolt keeps coming loose as well which I assume is from the vibration of driving? The worst part now is once you put that piece in the tailgate you can’t take it out. So now you can get another one and use the other side but if that one also malfunctions then your screwed. On top of this it is missing a tool that it claims to come with to install it. You don’t need it but the instructions don’t actually show you how to install the threaded piece for the ball bolt. Had to go on YouTube. Plus good luck actually reading the directions. The pictures are so dark on the instructions that you can’t see anything. Cheap junk, wouldn’t recommend this one.

This is one of the best things I've ever bought on Amazon, first of all it works great,2nd it was easily installed, 3rd it was very inexpensive. The directions are a little hard to understand but I managed basically unscrew bolt to 3/4" and then hold the screw with a 5mm allen, then just turn the nut 9 revolutions to expand the holding mechanism. My wife can now open my tailgate without the heavy load, I wish I knew about this a long time ago. Buy one and install you will be shocked ( no pun intended) how great it works.

easy to install, no more fast dropping tailgate. It is slow coming down but getting used to it. dealer wants 80$ plus for their system and those need to be replace ever 3 years. This one far better.
