Contains Jeju lava seawater 64.8%. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐ Disappointing but inoffensive *by T***O on June 25, 2016* I believe I purchased this off eBay (because it was cheaper at the time), but it's authentic and the same product, so... here goes:I wanted to like this eye serum a lot more than I ended up liking it. It's a nicely hydrating lotion without much noticeable smell, that sinks in to the eye area as you would expect an eye cream to. And that's where the problems begin.Because I don't think this is actually supposed to be an eye cream. As a serum, I think this is supposed to be a step you put on BEFORE your eye cream. And maybe your eyes need more hydration than mine, but my skin just can't absorb this serum and then absorb a more emollient eye cream, there is just too much "stuff" for it all to sink in. So if you use just this Innisfree eye serum, you may get too little hydration; if you use an eye cream after, you'll be sitting around waiting for it to absorb or dealing with other products pilling up. That said, the eye serum itself is completely inoffensive. Which makes this product terribly expensive for something that A) Isn't really an eye "cream" and B) doesn't really do anything other than not offend.And then we get to the packaging. I like to think I'm environmentally friendly but I usually don't harp on packaging all that much because I truly don't have any better ideas. It just really freaking annoys me when a product is disappointing in and of itself AND has ridiculously wasteful packaging. This eye serum comes in an airless pump pen that is the size of a giant fat highlighter (the whole think is 8 or 9 inches long, maybe half an inch diameter). It's heavy plastic with a rounded metal tip that is supposed to be used to massage and cool the eye area. Well it doesn't "cool" the eye area, the metal tip is cool for a second and then your body temperature warms it up and it's just a hard piece of metal you're rubbing on your undereye skin. While the packaging is VERY PRETTY (really, they did a fabulous job creating a quality-looking and -feeling product) it is just so unnecessary for this heavy complicated series of plastic and metal components (that you can't take apart to recycle properly) to be used to house such an ultimately small amount of an ultimately unnecessary product. I get it; airless pumps are sanitary, in this case it lets you see how much product is left...but seriously, this is overkill.Other products in the Innisfree Jeju Lava Seawater line have gotten good reviews, and I expect they live up to the hype. This specific product, though, is an unnecessary addition to a routine that already includes an eye cream, and isn't quite good enough to replace an eye cream...especially if you need an eye product to tackle specific problems, like aging.And so while there is nothing really WRONG with this eye serum, I really can't recommend using it, because it's expensive, does nothing really, and holy cow is the packaging wasteful for what it is. If it came in a simple tube or jar and cost a third of the price, it might have been worth trying.
