Too small
It is too small, returned and purchased a larger one.

NOT CAST IRON
Bought because it SAID cast iron - didn’t want cheap, recycled metal touching my food especially with inconsistent fire exposure. It is not. Did not keep. Very disappointed. Will keep searching for a vintage popper at sales.

Chestnut roasting
Worked fine for chestnut roasting on an open fire. The item description says, "Made From Cast Iron" but it's not cast iron. It's very lightweight and thin.

Not quite as advertised. Not terrible.
It's too small. My grandfather had a tin one with a screen top. Had it for 50 years and now my brother has it. It's still better. It's not as pictured, as the top has 1/4" mesh, not what appears to be 1/2" in the picture. It's painted metal, not cast iron. The paint started scraping off the bottom on first use as you shake it on the stove-top (like making jiffy-pop), revealing shiny metal beneath. Probably harmless, but hardly well made.

Not what I was looking for
The pot arrived with the wire screen latch broken off and it was missing from the box. The product was also much smaller than appeared in the picture. The only thing it has going for it is the long handle. I would not recommend...

Not as described
Item was described as made from cast iron. It is not. Made from stamped sheet metal. Seems to have a powder coating of some sort. Pan is smaller than some other fireplace poppers. Ok In use but terribly overpriced versus competitive models. Would not buy again.

Four Stars
Have used it to roast nuts over a fire. Worked very well.

Looking forward to using it
Bought this for a few campfire evenings on a half term camping trip. The small D shaped clip at the end intended to secure the mesh lid snapped off very quickly after removing the pan from the box but there is another clip so it shouldn’t be an issue keeping the mesh and popping corn in place. Ended up self isolating and not camping so not yet actually tried it out.

Keep it moving!
Great popcorn pan, enough each time for 1 greedy or 2 usual people :) It's an all metal construction - so you'll need to watch the heat in the handle. I love the mesh lid - being able to watch the kernels pop is the best BUT it does spit out the odd hot shard from the husk. I've used it 5 times (in one day lol) on the hob and I'm genuinely excited to go camping and use it on the open fire.

They don’t work...
Great in theory but awful in practice. We bought two for Christmas presents and both recipients have reported only a handful of corn popped and most charred whilst still kernels. Disappointing.

Works well
Worked well. Nice sturdy handle. Slightly let down by poor welding on the loop which holds the lid down on the side opposite the handle which failed.

Great idea as everyone likes popcorn
Used this to cook popcorn over a fire pit, would be better if it had a retractable handle so to make it easier for storing
