Really durable. Kids can’t move them at all. Easy to secure to wall.Only thing I didn’t realise, is that when the gate is open, the two silver bolts that hook into the wall slots stick out of the gate.this is obvious when you think about how it works logistically, just quite dangerous having long metal bolts poking out at ankle and eye height for toddler.I have created ties for mine to they sit flush to the wall but f I had known about the bolts I would have chosen a different design.

Achetée car nous avons un petit garçon qui adore les escaliers... reçue avec 24h d’avance par livreur.Elle a été facile à monter.Très jolie. Et mesure bien jusqu’à 105cm au maximum. Cependant si nous la mettons a fond avec les vis je trouvais qu’elle bougeait un peu. Ayant peur pour sa stabilité, j’ai préféré la mettre en 103 cm et mettre une cale au mur.Une fois installée il est très facile de l’ouvrir d’une main même si c’est un coup à prendre. Cependant ma fille de 6 ans y arrive parfaitement bien. Comme tout il y a un temps de rodage aussi.Elle est assez esthétique aussi du coup elle ne dépareille pas dans notre intérieur.Si mon commentaire vous a été utile, pourriez vous cliquer sur le oui ci dessous svp? I bought this baby gate specifically because i have very stiff fingers and have trouble with the gates that have to be pushed in with two fingers or pushed to the side. This one serves the purpose very well, there is a button just above the latch that has to be pressed in (not aggressively) to allow the latch to be pulled out. I've never had any trouble with it and i've been using it for a year and a half now.It looks lovely, i prefer wooden gates over the plastic ones because i feel they just look softer, many of the the metal/plastic ones are an eyesore.I've lived in two houses with this gate, one had a very wide stair at the top, which it fit perectly, and now i have to place it in a more narrow passage (not quite narrow enough for standard size) which it also fits fine. Still in perfect condition after almost two years of being attacked by my toddler and walked into by various adults who weren't expecting it.I'd definitely buy it again.

The assembled gate is sturdy and good quality. However, whilst it is only 20 or so components the instructions are pretty useless. The accompanying illustrations are poorly put together and more confusing than helpful. I discarded them and used a common sense approach! The finished gate is quite robust and has a nice appearance. Regrettably I need mine to safeguard a vulnerable elderly person not a child and the locking mechanism is quite sturdy. The gate cannot easily be opened and is ideal for discouraging an infirm or confused person from venturing up or down a stairs. It would also be useful if there was a need to ‘zone off’ an area like a hallway approaching a front door etc...

The first one was delivered with some screws missing - even though the single bag of screws was sealed and unopened. But the replacement arrived today. It's a lovely looking gate but it could be better...;-- The instructions are just pictures. One shows the gate opening one way with a cross through it - but doesn't explain why. I still don't know (and i wanted mine to open that way - and it now does!).- And part D - a tiny piece of plastic - can go on either side - but it doesn't show which side relative to the gate opening. I've no idea or it's purpose.Bearing in mind that the instruction sheet is huge - adding some text for clarity would be a good idea.And having a few more holes for joining the bits together would negate the need for large screw threads on both sides - was tempted to drill some more myself.And across the bottom of one of the gates is a whole load of ugly black wriing - so out of place. It's not on a sticker that can be peeled off - it is painted onto the wood - and it ruins the look.
