Keeping my little furry friend safe...
Works exactly as described, keeping my little furry friend safely in the backseat of my car. It however does allow her room to move from back window to back window. The strap was extreamly easy to install and well designed to keep a paw from accidentally stepping on the seatbelt release. The clip to attach you dogs harness is extremely simple to use. An excellent buy.

Keeps the dog still
First of all, do not use this as a safety harness; it even says on the package that it will not keep the dog safer in an accident. What it DOES do is keep the dog from roaming around your car, or jumping out as soon as you open the door. But we have had a few times when we have had to brake quickly, and it kept our dog from flying toward the front seat, so it did keep her (and us) safe in those cases. We wish we could use a dog safety harness, but she just won't wear one... so this was the next best thing, since we could use it with her current harness.

A little too long for small dogs.
I love having a doggie seat belt for my dog and this is the best option I've come across. However, my dog is small (a chihuahua mix) and the belt at its shortest still allows him to wander all along the back seat. It's nice that he can't go EVERYWHERE in the car, but I'm not sure that it is very effective when it comes to protecting a dog when making sudden stops. When I stop quickly, my dog slides forward and off the seat. It's better than nothing and it makes me feel secure knowing that he is buckled in, but I wish it was a little shorter.

Great dog product
Great piece of equipment. I purchased it because it was highly rated by several dog publications I read (that is publications about dogs, not by dogs!). Very sturdy, this seat belt works very well in the back seat (for which it is intended - not dogs in the front!) and keeps the dogs in the back while allowing them room to move side-to-side to look out of the windows.

Works great!
I was worried it would take my dog some time to get used to sitting in the back seat with this strapped onto his harness, but has been great with it since the first trip. He's actually calmer with this device, and lies down and sleeps for the duration of the drive. Highly recommend!

Doggie Catcher for Cars.
Product works very well. Allows dog to go from side to side but prevents any injury because of sudden stops. We use with harness rather than a collar. Also prevents pet from getting away if door opens by accident.
