Is the moby evolution the same as the moby original... just opened my box and it's says moby original on it.

Hello, the Evolution wrap is made from a 70% Viscose from Bamboo/30% Cotton blend. The Classic MOBY is made of 100% Cotton. MOBY's branding has been updated to The Original MOBY Wrap in order to emphasize that they were the first mass manufactured stretchy wrap on the market.

Is this the evolution?

Yes. Moby originally just called it Moby Bamboo. They changed the name but nothing else.

Is this version more breathable than the original? I live in a climate where temperatures reach over 105 in the summer.

It was a gift to a nephew and wife so I never saw it. However they live in NYC and have loved it.

Does it work well in hot summer months?

This wrap seemed way to thick to use during warmer weather. I returned mine for that reason.

Love it!

We have been using this since our girl was born. It's way better than using a stroller when going outside as we can keep our girl closely snuggled. It's also quite convenient to use, just need to give it a couples of trials to get used to putting the wrap on. Our girl falls asleep in it most of the times. My husband is a big man and it also works well with him as the wrap getting stretchier over time. However, it can get too warm for a baby in the wrap outside in hot weather, so it might be a good idea not to overdress the baby if planning to use the wrap outside in a hot climate.
