Dekoni AudioDekoni Audio Ear Pads fit Audeze LCD Series Headphones - Hybrid

These are excellent replacement pads for my LCD-2C's. The only problem I have with these is that since they are so stiff due to using memory foam, they will tilt the suspension strap slightly backwards causing the metal headband to make contact with my head. I am unsure if these just need a crazy amount of break-in, or my head is just shaped weird. An excellent purchase othewise.

I loved AUDEZE’s stock leather-free velour ear pads, but they wore out after using of about 6 years. Stock ones were quite durable overall, but the pads’ layer which was attached on the unit started to peel off.So I came to buy these ones to replace stock ones. I just opened the box and set them on my lcd2, so I cannot say about the durability, but they seem quite sturdier than stock ones. They are as comfortable as the older ones. They are kind of plump than stock ones. I think stock ones are filled with regular sponge but these ones are filled with kind of memory foam, which gives more secureness when I wear them.As you know, they are made from at least 3 materials, which are Sheepskin, Fenstrated Sheepskin and Velour. The part sits around my ears are made from velour which give more comfortable feeling than leather to me.I am not sensitive about the sound, but I think sound quality is good, too.I guess that the part which is attached on the unit is different kind of leather because its texture is little bit different from that of other part which was made from sheepskin. I wish this part stay long because that was the part which made problem in stock pads.

I wasn't aware at the time of purchasing, but found out quickly after installing that these pads have a strange deafening effect. I believe its due to the fenestration on the inner wall of the pad. Some may enjoy this but I did not. It was similar to the "white noise" that noise cancelling headphones produce to offset the noise outside the ear cup. Nice quality pads from Dekoni as always but the sound profile was not for me.

The earpad looks good overall but sadly, the proliferated leather in the inner ear cup of the left channel is torn after 1 hour of usage. Doesn't appear to be very lasting. It is very comfortable though, even better than the original pad. I would have given it a 5 star easily if not the torn part in the ear cup.

The foam is much softer, the leather is higher quality than stock, and the cloth is nice and cool on my face. Took my lcd-x hadphones to another level entirely
