The only treat that actually lasts with my power chewer!
If you have a dog that treats "long-lasting" chews like a light snack, you need to try these. Iโve gone through so many different bones and sticks, but these yak cheese chews are the real deal. They are incredibly hard and dense, which is perfect because it actually takes my dog a significant amount of time to work through one. Why I keep these stocked: Truly Long-Lasting: Unlike rawhide or softer chews that are gone in ten minutes, these keep him occupied for a good hour or more. Zero Mess & No Smell: One of my favorite things is that they don't get slimy or leave a gross scent on my carpets. They are very "clean" for such a heavy-duty chew. The "Puff" Hack: When the chew gets down to a small nub (the "choke hazard" size), you can pop it in the microwave for about 45 seconds. it puffs up like a giant cheese cracker! It's so satisfying to let him finish the very last bit safely. Natural Ingredients: I feel much better giving him 100% natural cheese rather than something filled with chemicals or mystery "meat" products. They are definitely a premium treat, but for the amount of peace and quiet they buy me, they are worth every penny.

Awesome...just be careful when the pieces get small
I stopped giving my dog rawhides after learning how bad they are (the bleaching process, how indigestible they are, etc). I transitioned to bully sticks and other natural treats, but they NEVER last long. My dog is a pretty good chewer, even though she's only 30 pounds. I saw these chews in a pet store, and while it was expensive, I decided to give it a try. My dog LOVED the chew. It took her at least 45 minutes to eat half of it...I took it away and gave her the other half the next day. If only these weren't so expensive!!! Pros: made of natural materials, long-lasting, not smelly, and when you get to the small pieces, you put them in the microwave for 45 seconds and it "puffs" into a completely easy-to-eat treat. Cons: small pieces are not digestible. After I got the Himalayan chew from the pet store, I bought the mixed pack (11.5oz) from Amazon as a more cost-effective solution. I got 2 big chews and 2 small pieces. I gave my dog a small piece, thinking it would buy me a good 20 minutes, and she ended up splitting it/eating it, and then puking it up for the next 2 days (always between 2-4am, of course). With these chews, you really need to watch for when the pieces get small and then put them in the microwave (as mentioned before) to make sure your dog is not harmed (I am lucky that she has no intestinal/stomach bleeding from eating the pieces and puking them up). It's a great once-in-awhile treat for my dog, and I will definitely buy more in the future. I highly recommend them, but again, watch your dog when the piece starts to get small. Prevent your dog from getting ill by following the instructions on the bag and microwave the "nub" that's left. Your dog will love that piece too!

Good choice for health conscious pet parents
My Doberman loves them and they take so long for them to finish and they get a fun puff treat when they get too small they seem to digest easy no issues with that and I love the natural ingredients

Good for Extreme Chewers
My dog is a heavy/extreme chewer, and he generally loves these. Compared to other chews they tend to last longer than the average chew, which I appreciate. He's been able to digest the chews well.

My dog loves them
Great size for a 60lb dog. Just watch how often you feed them, they are a nuclear bomb of calories ๐ฌ lol.

These are the best so far
These are great! it occupies my dogs attention many times every day. I got these before for my dogs and they didnโt chew on them. But now I have a new puppy-dog who loves everything chewable. She is an 8 pound, Pomeranian, 18 months old and this is how long it takes her to chew the different things: Bully stick: 24 hours These yak milk chews: 1-2 weeks Nylon chews: 4 to 6 months Her preference would also be in the same order, but these yak sticks are the best, because she never loses interest in them. She canโt eat a bully stick every day. Iโll probably give her a bully stick once a week, and when the Bark Box arrives. She chews something very often. These lasts such a long time but they are more interesting, chewable, and rewarding than the nylon chews . The older dog likes them too, but only occasionally. I always have two chews out for the two dogs but the older dog Really only chews the stuff to annoy the puppy!

Dog approved, healthy, affordable, but SUPERVISE
I bought a one pack before to try this brand, but my dog loved it so much I had to replace it pretty fast. This is healthy and keeps him occupied. I have a dog with a very active mind and he gets into things if he's not focused on a toy or chew. This is best chew I've been able to find. At first, I was nervous because small pieces can be broken off and swallowed. Thankfully my dog doesn't try to swallow the small pieces, so it hasn't been an issue. If your dog will swallow pieces of treats they chew off, this is not the treat for them. ALWAYS supervise them when they're chewing on these, for their safety. Great price for this product. My dog really likes them, so I'll keep ordering them. UPDATE: I bought these for the first time 6 years ago and my dog loved them then. Just bought them again because he's having issues barking at night since moving, and I needed to occupy him. First I bought the medium density bacon flavored chews this company sells. He loved those, but finishes them in 30-40 minutes and starts barking again. They weren't cost effective or solving the issue. So I purchased these again. Note that inflation is bad, and 6 years ago the same product costed less than $11. I got them on sale for $17 this time, at the inflation adjusted price - but they are normally over $21 not on sale now. Disappointed with the lack of interest my dog now has in them now, since he used to love these. He just ignores them now. Not sure exactly why. Maybe it's too much work to chew these harder ones now that he's had the medium density ones, and prefers though. Either way, I have to figure out something to get him to be occupied more and stop barking so much at night.

Worth every penny! Long lasting 'Yak Cheese' dog chews
Our dog absolutely adores these 'Himalayan Dog' Chew Yak Cheese chews and they are worth every penny. He's a goldendoodle and has been a bit of a super-chewer since his adult teeth came in last winter. We noticed how quickly he was going through No-Hide chews & bully sticks and wanted to find a more economical and longer-lasting alternative that would be safe* (*DO always supervise your pet with treats & chew toys like these) and gentle on his belly. Out of the package, these 'chews' are rock hard (they're meant to be)โthey feel like a hard sugar candy and have a light 'cheesy' smell that will likely appeal to your pup. (It's not overwhelming.) Your dog will gradually chip small pieces off and be able to crunch them up, but they shouldn't be able to crack the whole thing in half. But like a hard candy, it will shatter into smaller pieces if hit with enough force. You can actually microwave pieces of Yak Chew and in about 30-60 seconds it will PUFF into a cheese puff that your dog can crunch up as a snack! (*It will be hot. Let cool fully before giving to your pup!) This is a great way to use up the end of the chew when it gets too small & becomes a choking hazard. Microwaving a Yak Chew releases all its cheesy aromas during the puff processโfair warning, your dog will be VERY interested in the smell. These have been a winner in our house and usually last for a couple weeks before the dog whittles them down. Once it's small enough (or if a large piece breaks off), we pop it into the microwave and our little buddy gets a cheese puff treat. Win-win!

My dog loves them!
My dog loves them! I canโt quite wrap my head around the price too much and they donโt last as long as I thought and my dog is forty pounds. I wish they were a little less expensive, but other than that they are a great distraction and treat for any dog with no side effects except maybe a chipped tooth which I just discovered with a recent visit to the vet.

Fantastic well worth getting, lasts ages!
Fantastic chews, expensive, shame they are not marketed here by company to get the price down! I found these in the USA , bought them home and my puppy loves them, it's taken 4 weeks and still my dog hasn't made a huge dent in it , it keeps her amused for hours and doesn't upset her stomach, considering how sharp her puppy teeth are its great they last so long and they do help to stop her chewing other things!

Still going strong after months of chewing
These are wonderful. I bought a pack of three and my terrier is still on the first one which has about an inch left. She's 6mths now and it did take her a while to be able to chew it so I probably should have bought her the thinner ones. But know her jaw is strong enough she's getting on really well with it. It keeps her occupied for ages, grating off the tiny little bits. Happy to recommend to those who have dogs that very quickly chew everything you give them. They make a nice change from meat products.
