This book appeals to all ages as my 3 year old great grand-daughter demonstrated as she looked with me at the pictures. She asks to look at it frequently. Oceanographer in the making? Great book and highly recommended.

I wanted to learn about ocean animals. I did science A-levels but that was my knowledge limit. Really, the level I wanted was that of child's books- cool facts about ocean creatures. But I didn't want a 'kids' book.This book is PERFECT! It covers the science behind creation of oceans, ocean floor, coasts etc etc interesting plants and animals. It sets it out logically, moving from rocky shores, to coastal waters, to deep oceans.The imagery is stunning- beautiful photos and well labelled diagrams but not overloading of pointers on said diagrams.Each double page covers one item, with pictures and short, succinct bits of text of fascinating facts.It is informative, yet easy to read.Beautiful.

I bought this book for my 7 year old grandson who is learning about undersea creatures. This book is packed with wonderful pictures and information about life in our oceans. Great for any age as there are glossy pictures on every page!

I bought it as a gift for my nephew who was visiting from Australia, he wants to become a Marine Biologist and he was over the moon with the book. It was a lovely gift and very well received.
