Worked as advertised right out of the box, all USB ports functioning had no issues what so ever.would definitely recommend this product if you need additional ports.The external power takes the load off the computer.I had multiple 4 port usb hubs directly connected and kept having power issues to where they would stop working.With this no issues at all.

See Updates below.At first, this solved my problem of not having enough USB ports on my laptop. I have two external hard drives, a printer, mouse, and keyboard, plus I plug in chargers and other devices part of the time.I have a Go Pro camera, and always take the SD card out and plug it in to the computer to download video. It is many times faster than plugging the camera in.This is where the Hub failed me..... It has an SD card reader, and a micro SD card reader, which I really liked..... Until they both quit working. The USB ports still work, but if I plug a card in the card reader, the little light in the Hub comes on, but it does not show up on the computer.I am hoping I can get this issue resolved with the seller. Updates later.Update: I just noticed that on the product page description in now says "Please note: this USB Hub does not support Video output. I don't think that was on there when I bought it, but I could be mistaken. Funny thing is, it DID work to transfer video from the card to the computer files when I first got it. Then it stopped doing it after about 4 months of use. I just tried a card with non-video files, and it still does not work.I am trying to get in touch with the seller to see if this can be resolved.Update 5-23-22: The company responded via email. They said it should work with video files. After several back-and-forth emails asking me to try re-formatting my SD card, etc, they finally agreed to send me a replacement. It arrived in a few days.The replacement fails to show an SD card in either slot, just like the old one after it failed. This one did not work right out of the box.Obviously this is an issue with this USB Hub. I am changing my rating to one star.Update May 31st, 2022: After getting frustrated with the replacement not responding, I left this thing alone for a while. Marstech Customer Service did not give up, and contacted me later, still offering to help. I tried it again, and the SD slot started working. The Micro SD slot still was not working, but then started working after a few more tries. Kinda funky, but at this point, the replacement is working okay.I am changing my rating to 4 due to the good customer service, and the fact that it is now working. I hope it does not have a relapse!Update June 7, 2022: Relapse! The card reader portion stopped working. I tried their suggestion of uninstalling and re-installing the device in Device Manager, but could not get it to come back.However, after informing Marstech, they refunded the purchase price without being asked. I feel the company responded promptly and well each time, and did everything they could to make it right with me. 5 stars for Customer Service!

I purchased this device after receiving feedback from customers who shared it works as described and is very quiet. This device replaced another that used my PC as its power source and was very noisy. This one needs its own power outlet, but is silent and enables me to utilize a secondary monitor, a backup drive and a disc player all from the same PC.

Hello this product works exactly as I hoped. It is perfect if you just want a hub and not a docking station. Plenty of ports for all your needs.01/03/2023. So the Ethernet port will not pass over 330Mbps of signal. I have tried it multiple times and I have 1.2 Gbps service coming into my house and can only get 330Mbps from the hub. Everything else works without issue. Disappointed as I wanted to limit what I plugged into my laptop.

need a few more usb ports this should be your only option

We are in a Mac environment in the office. Newer Macs have only USB-C connections. Many times we will be confronted with a USB-A connection. Or on my MacBook Air, I have one USB-C for power, one for connections. 6 Extra ports helps greatly. Thank you.

Nice hub.

Product works fine for most USB devices but it will not work with my external hard drive. The drive works fine connected directly to the computer but will not work through any of the ports on this hub. Still a good product though.
