CX 80S in-Ear Headphones, 3.5mm Jack Connection, Black

These are definitely serving their purpose. That’s to allow plug into and listen to music at night in bed. The sound is very good for the price of earphones. Bass is remarkably good for this inexpensive product. Hope to get a few years out of them but even if not, would purchase again. They are not Apple Earbuds quality but I repeat, for the price more than satisfactory.

I picked up these Sennheiser CX 80S earbuds because I wanted a reliable wired backup for my phone, laptop, and travel bag without spending too much. Mostly, I needed something simple for music, calls, video meetings, and casual listening when I didn’t feel like dealing with charging wireless earbuds. After using them for a while, I’d say they pretty much met my expectations. The sound quality is balanced and clear, which seems to be one of the main things buyers consistently mention. Vocals come through nicely, podcasts sound clean, and most music genres feel natural without overly boosted bass. If you like heavy bass, these may feel a little restrained, but for everyday listening, they sound solid and easy on the ears. They also do a decent job with passive noise isolation once you get the right ear tip fit.Comfort is another plus. They’re lightweight, sit securely, and work well for commuting, office use, online classes, or even light workouts. The in-line remote is convenient for taking calls or pausing music, though the controls are basic. Call quality is generally clear enough for regular conversations. On the downside, the cable can tangle more easily than I’d like, and while the build feels decent, it doesn’t feel especially premium or rugged. Some long-term users mention durability could be better with heavy daily use. Also, these aren’t for anyone expecting premium-level audio detail or deep bass performance. For the price, though, I think they offer good value. You’re getting dependable wired performance, recognizable sound quality, and practical everyday functionality without paying extra for features you may not need.Overall, these are a good choice if you want affordable wired earphones for daily practical use, especially for calls, commuting, or casual music listening.

I bought these 3 years and some months ago. Now 3 years later, I’m still using them. Very durable; clear and quality sound. Now I want to upgrade them. I want to buy another Sennheiser earphones but I want to try an upgraded version. I’m not the type that usually leaves reviews, but I guess these ones deserve it!!

With this brand, I have/had other models, and I bought this model considering it was cheaper than other models. The sound quality is the worst I've experienced with this brand. It was like listening to someone from the background. Giving 3 star for the brand and it's functional.

I had forgotten how cheaply a good pair of IEMs could be and how these blow away every wireless earbuds I've tried, including ones from Sennheiser that cost ten times as much. Nothing beats a good pair of wired earbuds and I cannot BELIEVE these were only $20. Excellent quality sound, I've not tried the mic yet though, and the only concern I have is durability might be a problem but it feels competently made and is cheap enough that by the time these break (if they break) then a replacement won't be an issue. Highly recommended! These are definitely my new favorite Steam Deck accessory too ;)

Genuinely awful. Being this is Sennheiser, I didn't totally believe the reviews panning the sound quality. But it really is quite bad, what I might expect from a $5 pair of drugstore earbuds. Sennheiser may make some headphones with excellent sound quality, but not these. So I'm still using a pair of rather ancient JBLs which hurt my ears, but at least don't sound like the person talking is covering their mouth with their hand and speaking through a kazoo or something. If you care a jot about decent sound quality and were attracted by the Sennheiser brand, then give these a miss. TRUST ME.Edit: Since originally writing this review, I got a pair of Mee Audio M6 Pro's, which beat the absolute tar out of these: solid sound quality, comfortable, good seal to block ambient noise, comes with all sorts of goodies like lots of extra tips of different sizes, an extra cord, a carrying case, and a 3.5 mm to 1/4" aux adapter. But fundamentally, as I said, these Sennheisers sound like $5 gas station earbuds, and the Mee Audio M6 Pro's sound like proper, quality headphones. Mee's are slightly more expensive at time of writing ($40 vs. $25), but I think $40 represents solid value, and is still basically very affordable.

After 5 years its time to replace my ear buds with a new pair of the exact same. By far the longest lasting and best wired ear buds on the market for $20.I learned about this brand from a YouTuber and its now the only brand I trust for quality.

When I got the earbuds they sound clear but not much bass. I’m using a fiio DAC and changed the tips to foam and they now sound great with plenty bass.

Love these headphones, fit perfectly.

Nice ear piece. The sound quite clear!

Bad sound and zero aesthetics. Older versions are much better. Unfortunately, I don't recommend this product.
