Product Description La Femme Nikita: The Complete Fourth Season (DVD) .com The fourth season of the espionage action series La Femme Nikita might've been its last, were it not for a heroic effort to revive the show by its fans. Since the campaign was a success, the fourth season remains an exciting chapter in the cult series' history, and one with a startling denouement that left audiences begging for more. The crux of the series pits Section One's sinister head, Operations (Robert Eugene Glazer) against Nikita's partner/lover Michael (Roy Dupuis), who has been deemed expendable; meanwhile, Michael must find a way to deprogram Nikita (Peta Wilson) from the brainwashing that has turned into a destructive killing machine. Highlights from this season include the two-parter "Man in the Middle" and "Love, Honor and Cherish," which finds Nikita betrothed to a wealthy industrialist (Maxwell Caulfield) who is Section's next target; "No One Lives Forever," in which Nikita is granted her freedom in exchange for the murder of the man who killed her father (whose identity is one of the season's most gasp-worthy surprises); and the three-part conclusion ("Face in the Mirror," "Up the Rabbit Hole," and "Four Light Years Farther"), which reveals stunning news about Nikita's true identity, delivers a unpleasant fate for one of the major characters, and leaves the rest in particularly dire straits. Were this the conclusion of the series as intended, the fourth season certainly provided a worthy wrap-up, with more than its share of intrigue and last-minute plot twists; as it stands, it's exceptionally fun TV, with a fine balance of action and romance between the charismatic and attractive. Wilson and Dupuis. The six-disc set includes all 22 episodes of the fourth season; Eugene Robert Glazer provides commentary for two episodes, "Time to Be Heroes" and "Sympathy for the Devil," on which he's respectively joined by director Brad Turner and writer Peter Lenkov; there's also a collection of deleted scenes with commentary by Christopher Heyn assistant to the show's executive consultant Joel Surnow, and a gag reel. --Paul Gaita

La Femme Nikita - Season Four
"Season Four" of "La Femme Nikita" provides successful interlinking among the successive episodes within this season itself and among successive seasons (that is Season One, Two, Three and Four. For example, the first four episodes of "Season Four" commendably solves the nerve-racking dilemma that Michael and Nikita had to face as they struggled to be together in the face of Madeline's determined efforts to keep them apart. In "Season Four", there are also commendable reiterations and reinforcements of the minor storylines which were provided in the earlier episodes of Seasons One to Three. For example, the reason for Nikita's presence in Section 1. The further progression and development of the relationships between Michael and Nikita, Operations and Madeline and Walter and Birkoff is also very satisfying. However, I am puzzled as to why Nikita was made to want to leave Section 1 as provided by Episodes 20 and 21 since things were working out reasonably well between her and Michael. I suppose the path of true love can never be smooth for the lovestruck pair or any other pair for that matter (as was the case in the failed relationship between Walter and Belinda in one of the later episodes of Season Two).Overall, the "La Femme Nikita" TV series just gets better and better with each passing episode and season. I really look forward to "Season Five" although not without some regret knowing that Michael and Nikita cannot be together forever. I hope that the cast and the crew can be asseembled again for perhaps La Femme Nikita 2" TV series after about 10 years of break.

Le Femme Nikita continues to be one of my favorite shows
One of the best shows on TV... too bad it only lasted 4.5 years. When it was on, it was the highest rated cable TV show and it's viewer numbers still rival popular shows today. Peta Wilson is fantastic! I own the whole series and every other week or so I have to watch a couple of episodes to get my Nikita fix. :-)... and my Michael fix ;-).I also own Luc Beeson's original Nikita movie and the remake "Point of No Return" with Bridget Fonda as Nikita... but for me Peta will always be the 'real' Nikita. When you realize that this show was filmed back in the mid 90's, the electronics (computers, monitor-less screens and such) are even more advanced then what's available now... so, even though the show is ... oh Lordie... I just realized it's 20 years old...Dang! I'm getting old...anyway, the 'tech' stuff isn't wildly outdated like on the original Star Trek.chercher la femme dans la nuitI recommend this series. I really like that at least once in every episode Peta does her 'runway' walk (she was/is a supermodel).

Thank you, Warner Home Video!
Before there was "Alias", there was "La Femme Nikita". This exciting show was a wonderful 5-year Sunday night ritual for me. Much has been written about the hot/cold/on/off relationship between Nikita and Michael, played by the stunning and compelling pair of Peta Wilson and Roy Dupuis. Almost equally compelling are the other main characters: Madeline, Operations, Walter, and Birkoff, all played to perfection by the talented cast. You really care about these characters to a degree not typical of most TV shows of the 1990's. While I also enjoyed the "Alias" series, LFN will remain my favorite TV spy series. Just when you think you can predict what the characters will do and where the storyline is going -- Surprise! Twist! Not what you expected! So, thank you, Warner Home Video, for (finally) releasing the whole stunning LFN series on DVD. I can't wait until October 17th for Season 5!

I love this show.
Season three of this show is still my favourite, but this season also deserves no less than five stars. Season four is amazing, especially for Michael-Nikita fans. (And what fan of this show isn't?) This season's stand out episodes (reasons to buy the DVD as far as I'm concerned) include There Are No Missions, Time To Be Heroes, Catch a Falling Star and Up The Rabbit Hole. This season really gives each actor in the series a chance to shine, and I believe Matthew Ferguson did an absolutely amazing job playing Birkoff for the first half of the season, and then as Jason, his twin brother, for the second half. This show is extremely underrated and deserves more recognition. I definitely recommend buying this and every season of the show.
