Q: Are they made in the USA?

Unfortunately, I have already discarded the packaging that the nippers came in. I looked, carefully, on the item for the country of origin and I'm unable to see any indication of the country of origin. Two things about the product that really do not affect their purpose: The lock which is supposed to hold the handles in a closed (safe) position is plastic and about the thickness of the average toothpick; works once. The nail file included in the handle is a nice touch, but it doesn't perform satisfactorily on any nail type, including your own. Short answer: I'm not sure. Sorry.

Q: What makes this safer and easier to clip your dog’s nail compared to other clippers?

Since the task of clipping our 3 dogs nails has been delegated to me, by my wife, I'll speak for us. I dread the task as much as our dogs do, so I'm not going to tell you that these nail clippers make the job any easier, but I do believe that they do make it safer if you use the moveable nail depth limiter. I'm certain that's not the official name, but it's better than calling it a doohickey. Even after many years of clipping our dog's nails I'm convinced that truely the safest and easiest way is to take them to the vet, but my German Shepherd will only tolerate me handling her in such a manner. I do recommend them for dog owners.
