Samsung 750 EVO - 120GB - 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-750120BW)

First off I want to say I didn't buy this drive for blazing fast performance. I bought it to be the OS drive of a backup server. I wanted reliability before anything else. That's why I bought Samsung. We only sell and install the 850 series so I already love the Samsung SSDs, but wanted to save a few dollars. Did the research and saw the 750 has the reliability of the 850 so I bought it. Quick shipping as always. Plugged it into this Dell R310 server, loaded Linux, and it's been running without issues. I didn't do any performance benchmarks because I was only concerned about reliability, but boot times are better than the 7200 RPM RAID 1 pair we were using.

Swapped out a WD Spinner with this SSD boot time is less than half of what it was with the Spinner. The transfer program worked perfectly. Wish there was a little more warning on what type of drive interface, a (2) drive Dock and the software do not play well, but I had already planned on using the spinner as a backup drive and had purchased an external drive case and it worked perfectly going forward

The Samsung 750 EVO works great so far. Just got it today and installed it. Works great with Linux Mint MATE in a Shuttle XS35V4 mini PC. The temperature in this mini case runs 5 degrees cooler after replacing a traditional 320gb spinning laptop hard drive with this one. The mini PC boots in 12 seconds, about 4 times faster than the traditional drive. I also own 120gb Samsung 470, 830 and 840 SSDs. The 750 EVO is way faster than the 470. So far, this drive looks like another trouble free winner from Samsung!

pretty fast drive for the price, used it in an hp probook 4440s laptop and it brought the boot times from 1 minute with a 7200 rpm hard drive to about 10 seconds, things like google chrome and file explorer start up almost instantly. less refined programs like utorrent and programs that require verification and constant updating like steam take a little longer but times are still much much faster. keep in mind if you are using an operating system that requires a login like windows 10, [which i have set to automatically login], auto logging in actually takes longer then the actual booting up. when my ssd arrived, i plugged it in and file explorer couldnt find it. if this happens to u, dont freak out. just open up disk management and locate the drive based on size [mine was about 110.2 gb] right click it and select create new simple volume. follow the prompts and you will be good to go. all in all im glad i spent the few extra dollars for this name brand vs the [adata, mushkin, silicone power] drives that were slightly cheaper. worth it!!!

Samsung SSDs are great. This one is a fine buy for the $80 price if you don't ever need more storage in a laptop. It does format to around 100GB however on a Windows PC, so if that won't cut it, get a larger SSD like the 250EVO 500GB size from Samsung. This was my forth Samsung SSD. I don't think anyone using a laptop with critical data should risk the problems associated with traditional mechanical HDs. The big speed and battery performance improvements that Samsung has brought a level of performance and quality to affordable pricing. My 7 yr. old MacBookPro boots in way under 30 seconds. Shop patiently for sale pricing on Amazon to get the best buy for your data size needs. Just don't wait 'till your old drive is deep in failure

This object was much lighter than I expected, being not much larger than a credit card and about a quarter of an inch thick. It had SATA power and data ports, and it was recognized and started up on the first try. The computer speed was improved considerably after copying the old drive over to this new one. The only difficulty I had was in mounting it - it was so lightweight and small I almost just let it dangle from the power cable, but in the end slid it into one of the hard drive shelves in the case and just left it sit there. Scotch tape would be more than sufficient for mounting.

It's very fast, works great. I was originally using a 7200RPM hard drive on a SATA2 connection, but with my new motherboard, processor and this, I can load everything just about instantly. I just offload all but my most-used programs onto my storage drive, since it hasn't got much space.

Bought the 120Gb version for a boot drive for OS and apps, really quick boot times, good software if you choose to use it. No complaints at all. I paid a bit more for Samsung and have some extra peace of mind knowing the drive is of a high quality brand. Plan to add a second SSD at some point for storing games and if I can find a good price on another Samsung, will definitely go that route.

Ya estaba con necesidad de ampliar un poco la velocidad de mi portátil ya que está un poco viejo y lento como yo. Buscando un SSD fiable y bueno, encontré este que según las opiniones de muchos de los compradores era el mejor en calidad precio.Y tienen razón en muchas de las grandes superficies cuesta casi el doble el mismo producto. Es un disco duro muy estable y se nota luego la diferencia en la velocidad de arranque del portátil.Lo mandé a venir por Amazon, no sólo por la rapidez y eficiencia en la entrega si no también por el servicio pos venda que es inigualable. Llegó en tiempo y hora, en un embalaje de buena calidad y resistencia lo cual se agradece.El Disco tiene las tecnologías Turbo Write y Rapid Mode y la velocidad de escritura es de hasta 520 MB/s. Gracias al Samsung Data Migration softweare la instalación es rápida y sencilla. Desde el primer momento logré ver la diferencia entre un antes y un después, no sólo en el arranque sino en el desempeño del portátil en general.Por tanto lo recomiendo como una buena adquisición y sólo en Amazon lo encontrarás por ese precio.

Estos discos duros sólidos son revive computadoras. Completamente recomendados para darle nueva vida a cualquier laptop. En este caso se instaló en una Macbook Pro del 2009 y se siente como nueva para cualquier uso promedio que se le quiera dar. Instalar es muy sencillo, solamente hay que tener en cuenta que estos discos NO son reconocidos si se conectan con un cable SATA a USB externo, pues tienes que tenerlo instalado en la bahía interna para que sea reconocido y formateado.

brought this from a local store ..As I got it for just 4000..And needed it on the same day .. Can't wait for the 3 day delivery time..All apart,I used this ssd on my 5 years old HP pavilion G6(i3 3rd gen/4gm ram / 1gb and graphics) laptop.With the old hard drive the problem was that he the disk usage was always at 100% ..So laptop was slow like hell and barely usable.After using this ssd the disk usage is normal and barely goes upto 50%..Laptop starts in just 20 sec( before it was more than 2 minutes)And app loading time is drastically reduced.The best accessory I have purchased for my laptop ever.Attached a crystal diskmark benchmark pic.

Before using SSD:My pc takes at least 5mins to settle and does not respond reliably till that time.After using this SSD:My pc takes just 10-20 seconds to boot and get ready. Irrespective of the number of background processes and disk read/write s, system responds immediately and opens whatever I wish.I kept on thinking about the performance of my PC with 8GB RAM and i5 Processor always busy with DISK I/O. Now that problem is solved.I feel the product feels very light and worry about durability just like using Memory card. Price is very high. Also the manufacturer gave only 3 years warranty which is less I think.Overall, I am happy to experience Windows 10 at no lag and fast boot.Thank you Samsung.

Speaking of Ssd so Samsung and sandisk just rules but one noticeable thing is here that it's read and write speed is much good then other Ssd it's a budget Ssd so don't expect that 1 gbps transfer speed but 250 is always rocks.... Just if you have a budget of 3k just pick it in a sec..... Speed test is already given by other so I this that's it.. . . Its nicely build plastic but not dissopoint at all..... . Grab it....
