The brush works well but, the nail clippers are too big to cut my Maine Coon cats 'nails. The nail clippers are somewhat difficult to use. I have not used the nail file yet.

I have a cavapoochon that has very long curly hair and has to be professionally groomed every three months. This kit is perfect for me to use at home in between groomings. The tools are all very sturdy and great quality. They all have a non-slip grip which makes them easy to hold. The slicker brush worked well but did not pull out as much hair as other brushes I have tried. This is the only reason I gave it four stars. The dematter tool is great and works well. I like that it has two different sides with both wide and smaller size teeth. This really helps when working through different kinds of mats. I have not tried the nail clippers yet because I am always nervous about clipping too short. However these do have a safety guide which is a great feature. My puppy can get pretty annoyed at grooming and she tolerated both the brush and dematter well and didn't put up too much of a fuss. I received this product at a reduced price for my honest and unbiased review. I always try to include the information in my reviews that I want to know about a product when purchasing. Overall I am very satisfied and this is a great kit to use in the months that my puppy is not going to the groomer.

Each tool has a rubberized grip so you know it is secure in your hand as you are using it. The nail clipper is very sharp and works exceptionally well at making a clean cut. It does have a nail guard too so it does help to keep you from cutting the nail too short. The brush has rounded tips so it glides nicely across the skin as it brushes nicely through the fur. The comb has a wide and narrow tooth side, which is ideal for combing knots out of ears and tail. My girl sat contentedly the entire time she was being groomed, so I take it that the set met with her approval too. I am beyond in love with this new grooming kit! Each piece is well made and built to last for an extended amount of time. Because my dog has short hair I don't really have to use the detangling comb often but I absolutely am in love with the brush and nail clippers. The brush is extremely sturdy and has strong bristles for easy grooming without causing any type of pain to my dog. The nail clippers have become my favorite and I highly doubt I will ever buy another set that is not like these! The guard on them that prevents you from cutting to much off the dogs nail causing pain and discomfort is amazing and is perfect for pets that aren't fans of having their nails clipped! I has definitely made my life much easier when it comes to grooming my baby girl!
