Weighs past 3000g! (totally 5 stars)
(If you wish to read about how this scale can read past its advertised weight limit: Scroll to paragraph three.I don't write many reviews, but this product undoubtedly merited the right for one. First to test the scale I stared to weigh something small. So I chose a quarter. I looked up the weight of a quarter first, which is 5.67g. Though this answer goes out to .01 grams and the scale only measures to .1 does not mean the test is inaccurate. So the scale rounded up to 5.7 grams ( this results is VERY accurate ) even though a quarter weighs 5.67g. Some may see this as, "Wait I need something that measures smaller than .1 grams." Well the reality is you will most likely never need to weigh past the tenths place in grams in your life. The only reason you might is if you are in some degree of science. Some of us also forget how small a gram is: .1g is 0.0035 oz. Tell me if you will in a normal circumstance need to weigh something so small.To continue with this review I would also like to state that this scale does weigh past 3000g or about 6.6 lbs. This may not be advised by the makers, but if you need to weigh something a little over 6.6 lbs it is possible. As you might know, scales can be reset to zero when weight is applied. For example I weigh a jar at is 1200g , but I then want to weigh some nuts that about to 400g. Say I don't know how much the jar or the nuts weigh independently, so the answer comes to 1600g. Well to fix this you can zero out the scale by placing the empty jar on the scale and pressing the "T" button. Now the scale reads zero even with the jar still on top of it. So now when I place the nuts in the jar the scale will read 400g.What I stated above is what you will do to weigh over the max limit. Now to give a real life example: I have this piggy bank that I have full of quarters, and I wanted to know how many dollars I had in the piggy bank. However it weighs roughly 10 lbs on a normal bathroom scale. So what I did is placed my hand on the scale and began to press down until it read 67. (I forget the exact decimal) (This is about 4lbs 3oz). I then zeroed it out and placed my piggy bank on the scale. So now the new total is 98 or so OZ. You then add the new total to your 67oz(s) and it comes to about 165oz. So that is how you weigh more than 6.6lbs. I won't bore you with the rest of the math, but the amount came to exactly 183.75 dollar after converting to find quarters total. Now I am not going to say that There is exactly that much money in there but I do find it interesting that the total came to .75 or to the amount of 3 quarters.Anyway thanks for reading if you got this far :)
