Does create hypertrophy
I was skeptical at first but it has surprised me so far.It does cause hypertrophy by itself IF used on isometric exercises. It does create sore muscles IF used at highest bearable intensity and this is adjusted throughout the exercise and supsequent exercises. I haven't experienced the intense and prolonged sore muscle I would get from working out heavy bodybuilder-style the classic way at gym, but I am also still on level 1 at around 150 intensity on the compex -- I still have 4 more levels and to grow up to 999 intensity. There is nothing lazy about this exercise model.I use it while reading or shopping online.A point of improvement -- videos for bodybuilders are missing -- I had to workout the anatomy of the muscles i wanted to increase and figure out isometric workout for each muscle. Also the pads are loosing grip so i bought a new set after 10 days as well as the elastic bands to keep the pads in place.Overall, though, extremely good product.

Loving this little unit
I use this device for a neurological/muscular boost when I am relaxing or working out.. I have multiple sclerosis and some weakness as a result in my right leg muscles. I use the device in various ways, but primarily it assist my focus in using that muscle group that I’m working on. This particular device has very little documentation on how to use it. I’m not sure why, but it must be a marketing issue between products That said, with a lot of trial and error and googling. I now understand how the machine works mostly and will continue to use it in ways that work for me. The machine itself and wires are very compact and sleek and appear to be top quality.

Micro USB?
I used the unit, and it seems to work well. But! There are four ports, which suggests you can work on two areas of your body simultaneously. Yet, the interface doesn’t allow you to run two programs at the same time. Why include so many ports, with a robust interface, and a hefty price tag if you’re not providing a flexible user experience? With such an expensive device, I expected to use four electrodes on my back and two on my leg, for example. But it doesn’t allow for that, which is frankly bizarre. The real reason I’m leaving one star is because the charging port on mine was broken. More strangely, it uses a proprietary micro USB port. Yes, micro USB is universal, but they’ve keyed the plastic surround in a way that only their USB cable with grooves on both sides will fit into the slot. I never thought that would be a thing. Everyone knows micro USB is the absolute worst connection for strength. It has a proven track record of failing on every device I’ve owned with it. It simply doesn’t have the durability to be used constantly. So even though this device works well, I could never support a company that intentionally chose such a poor port and then made it proprietary. I can’t understand why a $300 unit would come with micro USB and then require us to buy their specific cables for almost $40. As if they think they’re Apple, trying to create their own port, but at least when Apple created the Lightning port, there was a valid reason. Back in the day no other port could charge and send digital or analog audio through the same cable. USB-C didn’t start doing that until around 2015. This was crucial for all those devices you just dropped your iPods or iPhones into and it started playing music. Things like the speakers and cars couldn’t get the audio at line level, in one cable any other way other. And Bluetooth way-back win sounded awful and wasn’t available on cars or stereos until later. So while Apple’s port served a purpose, this one absolutely does not.

Must buy for someone who runs or lifts weights
I had the very first version and needed an upgrade, so got the 3.0 and man this thing works magic, definitely grab one if you’re a runner or someone who lifts weights, or if you’re someone who does daily activities at home this thing helps a lot

Add some power to your muscle
I'm in my 60s now and getting old. I no longer do long bicycle rides or lift weights at the gym. I've been driving a truck for many years and gotten out of shape so I thought I would give this unit a try, and boy is it powerful. My only disappointment is the pads do not stay sticky very long. A thigh workout with this machine is unbelievable as well as hamstrings. I need to get my wife to help put it on my shoulders and back and see what a workout it will give me there too. The tens portion is really good if you have some discomfort also. If you want to get back in shape or if you are in really good shape and need a little extra push this unit can do it. Just be prepared to need to buy more pads as you will be lucky if they last a month. Overall I really like the unit.
