I love this cage. Well built and good finish. The HDMI clamp also works well. Bonus is it fits my A7IV as well. Would recommend

Good product, which comes as no surprise. For A1 users, be aware that the accompanying HDMI clamp does not fit because the position is different than the A7... Other than that small issue, this is a great cage.

I bought many Smallrig products and all were excellent. This cage though is well built but accessing the record button is troublesome.

The fit for the Sony a7S iii is good and follows some of the lessons (small anti-twist screen) from the a7 iii rig. BUT, it missed one of the major benefits of the a7 iii rig when it comes to attaching a Peak Design Clutch Grip. The bottom rail to mount the Clutch Grip is missing from the a 7S iii rig.Also got the HDMI cable clamp. Quite bulky and heavy.Need a couple of more revisions to this rig to make it in the a7 iii class.

I love this cage, but I dont like the HDMI clamp...I understand its tough to work around the cover for the port, but I dont like that you cant close & open the cover if the HDMI clamp is on. I also dont like that unless the clamp is tightened all the way it just flops around all loose. Other than that I always look for Smallrig parts before anything else!
