I am 99% of the time barefooted and it's more comfortable than the floor. It does make standing a bit easier, but know it's not a miracle worker you still will be standing. It's not slippery to the floor, but it does move a little. I have to move it back in place every day or two to keep it where I want it. It's generally a couple of inches. (It's not a big deal.) The advantage is if I want if in front of a counter because I'm doing a lot of prep it's easy to move.

**Q: Can anyone tell me what the thickness is optimal?**
A: The 0.75” ones are thick and cushy compared with previous thinner mats I bought. Since they’re bigger they’re a bit more of a cabinet blocker and look a bit more in-your-face cushiony than the thinner ones, but they definitely feel nice. It depends on your needs, of course, but the 0.75” feels pretty great and I’ll definitely opt for the thicker mats in future purchases as well.

yes! I use it on my wood floor. The material is very soft & doesn't hurt the floor at all. It stays put & doesn't slip at all, but is also not sticky & can be moved easily. I love it on my kitchen wood floor.

This mat has saved my feet and lower back! It has great support for it's size, my kids were surprised at how much it "squished" for their feet. I don't shift weight back and forth to find rest or comfort. Its held up extremely well, with two dogs and multiple people walking across if many, many times during the day..there is no marks or wear on it. The criss-cross design is very subtle, unless you are looking directly at it you hardly notice. Very little movement once it placed. Super easy to clean and maintain, could be easily used in multiple places!
