Beautiful book, gorgeous pictures and lots of great advice for getting started with this type of embroidery.

This is a really beautiful book. It's a good project book too, but more than anything it is lovely to look at and very inspiring. I'd say there are projects for all levels, from a confident beginner to someone quite skilled. The simpler ones are not basic by any means, just have a smaller range of easier stitches.

This book is not only packed with instructions to follow,but is a visually beautiful book. Easy to follow instructions make it simple to use and very helpful in learning new stitches or improving your "thread painting"techniques. Highly recommend this book.

This is a beautiful book for a beautiful art form. It is wonderfully photographed and the descriptions are clearly written. Inspiring!

But there are only 5 projects which slightly disappointed me. However there are iron on transfers in the back which is good as the designs are complicated. My book arrived damaged (see photo) and considering how pretty it is this is also really disappointing as I wanted to display it.

The book is beautiful. So much care by the author. Her love for her craft shines through as she takes you step by step through the projects. The projects themselves are a delight.

What a beautiful book with stunning embroidery. It’s so different to all other books. It’s like a breath of fresh air. I only bought it after seeing Emilie on tv. She was a delight. Can’t wait now to get her new book.

This book was a great purchase and exactly what I was looking for. First it goes through all the materials needed for your projects. She shows how you don’t need to invest tons of money to get started and produce beautiful results. Second, there is a stitch guide with great pictures for practice. She then gives you transfers and project to get you started. Each project has a step by step of the stitches with great pictures for you to follow along. The projects are a dandelion, sunflower, mushroom, robin and honey bee and they are all beautiful. Transfers are provided in the back for you to trace or photocopy. I am relatively new to embroidery so this is a great book to get me started. She ends by showing you how to finish your project. I would highly recommend this book because it is illustrated well and describes each step clearly.

Not only is this a beautiful book, but I find it very easy to read and understand. I own a lot of embroidery books & I think this is one of the best! Because I do like embroidery books, I think this is one of the best because of several things: it's a hardback; it's just beautiful inside & out; it is very well organized without too much clutter on the page; hey, I'm 62, so I appreciate the history of embroidery, however, I love the internet links given in the book. The instruction is top-notch: great pics & the easiest explanations I've read. Sooooo excited to do more stitching!!!
