Great rice from the microwave!Good quality product!Wash the rice first.Then 1 part rice to two parts cold water.(Cooking for me alone I measure half a mug of rice/1 mug water).I add a teaspoon of lemon juice and pinch of salt to taste.Ensure lid is on tight with the vent open.Microwave: 5 minutes full power, then 15 minutes half power. Then let the rice stand in the bowl a further 5 minutes before serving.

Unfortunate after 4 min s in microwave the lid pops off.

I usually cook rice on the hob in a pan but it takes so long and I need to watch it. I followed the instructions included and the rice is perfect every single time. It looks like it would be too big for the microwave but it fits mine perfectly

It is my second one; I melted the first by inadvertently putting on a hot stove.As usual, you have to work out the proportions of rice and water for each type of rice. For example, I get a perfectly cooked Sunrise Jasmine rice using 335 grams of rice and 500 ml of cold water. I cook it in the microwave (min 1000 W unit is needed) without a lid for 5 minutes at 100% power, then 15 minutes at 50% and 5 minutes at 0%. After fluffing it up with a fork, I get aromatic al dente rice that goes with everything from Thai Curries to Italian risotto if stock (broth) is used instead of water.I highly recommend it to all (cooked) rice lovers ¹⁾.¹⁾ Ultimately, the rice is cooked, not the lovers.
