Volume control don't work
I'd like the old fashioned design. Hard to get this nowadays. But the quality is poor like a returned item, sold second time.

Good Jabra sound
After I ordered I was a bit worried seeing some of the reviews, which were inconsistent with my brand experience. I just received and tried two of these. Sound is perfect both received and delivered. It is not an articulated earpiece like the $100 rotating models, so yes, you will break it if you stubbornly try to twist it. Just slide your earlobe into it and you’re done. Also, the mic doesn’t need to be near your mouth for the other party to hear you, it is fine where it is. I’m surprised I have to repeat these things. Anyway, I’m glad my worries were unfounded. Great, clear sound received, and recorder at the other end of the line (from microphone).

Okay for my needs.
UPDATE: It only lasted five months, then snapped in two.I liked this headset. It fits okay, but not great, however for my needs, it's okay. I like that it doesn't go over the head with a headband, only uses one ear, and can be placed on either ear. It could be improved with a better fitting earpiece as the ones provided do not seal in the ear, they mostly just aim the sound into the ear but do not block out any ambient noise. The sound is clear, but thin and tinny sounding, but It's just for speaking and not music. The included 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter works well. I tried it with my MacBook Pro and my iPhone with great results. There is a small button on the underside of the boom that activates Seri on the MBP, on the iPhone I can just say "hey Seri" and it works. I did try the headset on my Motorola Talkabout walkie-talkies and it does not work as I'm guessing the wiring is different to the pins for that device. I'm mostly using it for Zoom on my MBP, so I'm happy with it. I didn't want a headset that used bluetooth as that requires battery maintenance over the life of the product. I bought a second one to have as a backup because the wires are quite thin on this and may not last. I'll probably keep one in the car and the other at my desk. It was good product at a great price, but I'll look for something a bit more durable.

"DON'T DO WHAT IT SAYS IT'LL DO..."
Insofar as using the headset on a cordless phone, it's adequate. The earpiece is comfortable, but at times I am unable to hear someone and am then forced to press it into the ear and hold it in place in order to hear them better (i.e., it's not a snug fit). I found that people cannot hear me if THEY'RE using a headset (e.g., if you're calling a business). People using bluetooths don't have a problem hearing me.The 3-Star rating is because It absolutely does not work with cell phones, which is what I was also looking for in a headset; the adapter fits properly but nothing happens. I've had 3 of these headsets (one of which stopped working after a month or so)-and I tried 3 different cell phones with each of their adapters, but none worked. Would I buy it again? I'm kinda stuck--compared to others, if you don't want an over-the-head headset, it has the best over-the-ear piece design available and it's reasonably priced.
