I've had 2 to 3 without much problems. As koi get larger 2 should be max with frequent filter cleaning.

I use the irrigation line. When the yard gets water the tank gets some too.

well, it says it's 89 gallons. With what one gallon of water weighs, just w/water alone- you're looking at 742lbs. This doesnt include the lbs of the tank/pond itself, included supplies, fish, accessories, etc. Hope that helps! I'd bank on roughly 1,000lbs.
