My nephew asked for this for his birthday. I aim to please a young boy, and this is my first nephew. He only gets the best. He freaked out and loved it! His little brother joined to he fun, they love this toy. Now i'm still the ranking cool auntie.

My 6 yr old son wanted Night Vision goggles for Christmas. We looked around at a few different kinds and in the end purchased these. The fact that a 6 yr old doesn't need expensive night vision goggles made these the perfect pair because of the price. To him these are the best night vision goggles ever. To me as a gadget loving father they were OK. ( I may have had super high expectations and made him let me wear them first) Pros: The light is super bright and makes everywhere you look in the dark light up. The lenses give the lit up light a different look then you would get just using a flashlight. They have really good battery life. The fold out optics look cool ( see cons ) Cons: The fold out magnifying optics are kind of hard for a 6 yr old to get lined up. I used them and it does magnify but it is not that easy to see out of.

These goggles do nothing to see in the dark. They simply have a light that you turn on and when you put on the goggles you see only in the perimeter of the flashlight. In fact, I'm pretty sure you can see better at night without these night vision goggles. Do not buy unless it is just for looks not function.
