Completely unreliable and, therefore, useless. I was using this to test the TDS of my aquarium water, and I was noticing large differences from week to week (differences that didn't seem in accordance with other water parameter tests I perform), so I decided to do some testing. Taking 5 readings in a 10 minute time frame provides 5 different results with temperature readings ranging from 68 to 75 and ppm readings ranging from 187 to 265. This type of inaccuracy, could end up killing your fish. If anyone knows of a reliable TDS meter, please let me know.

I make my own Collodial Silver. Great to make sure my distilled water is pure.
