Garbage seal
After less than a month of use (stationary, use in the corner of my garage for gasoline reserves) the seal has degraded in both cap styles (the fine thread and the coarse thread cap). I was checking my storage tanks to ensure they were still maintaining a vapor seal and found a tank with no pressure in it, upon retightening and squeezing the can I could not get it to seal and it got worse. Looked closer and found a cracked and swolen gasket, and then I pulled off the fine thread cap from another can and found it was degrading also... Swollen slightly and delicate, simply twisting the gasket gently with your fingers causes it to fall apart. This is what I did to the seal in the pictures.I bought these to check out the product before buying 10 more, glad I didn't. The seals are not safe for gasoline (doubtful for diesel either as it is harsher on rubber). The cap plastic material itself seems like it is fuel compatible (but I doubt they are UV resistant, so don't leave outside) but the included seals definitely are not. I was suspicious when I put them on but now I know for sure. Only buy these if you have new seals to swap in. I know it's just a cap, but the intended purpose of a cap is to have a reliable SEALED gas can for fuel longevity and vapor safety if storing gasoline.

The seal on the inside disintegrated
I put gas in once to have in case I needed it. A few weeks later I opened it up and the seal on the inside was in pieces, falling into the fuel contaminating it. I used the yellow one. I bought 2, for 2 plastic gas cans. They both suffered from the same problem. Unless you are going to put your own seal on it, don't get these. Otherwise it seems like the cap will work. Since I already purchased these, I'm going to try to put my own seal in there. The description says, "Will Hold Up To Years of Activity". That is completely false, and should be removed from the description. I will never purchase from this place again. I suggest you don't either.UPDATE: I purchased this: "Buna-N Sheet, Adhesive-Backed, Black, 0.093" Thick, 2" Width, 36" Length, 70A Durometer, ASTM D2000 BG " (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006IJKDEU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00). I cut out circles to fit the inside diameter of the caps and it looks like it is a good solution to the problem. While this will work for me, I recommend not having the problem to begin with.

does NOT fit RotopaX water or gas cans!!
I asked the seller before purchase, and was told that these will fit Rotopax containers. BE WARNED!!! these do NOT fit Rotopax containers!!! These caps are far too small to fit, it's not just the threads. I tired on both my current (2000) water can as well as my 2018 gas can with the same result.I can't speak to the overall durability of the product since it won't even fit the application.

So Far So Good & Fine Solution For Carb Compliant Unable To Open & Leak When Putting Gas In Cars!
All the EPA CARB Compliant Gasoline Tanks are Difficult to Open, Have to be Removed, and Overpriced. These Caps were far more Sealable and Easy Usable when Pouring into Dollar Store $1 Funnel. Cutting off the Unamenable Carb Caps that did not work was the only Alternative. I believe in Climate Change and Accept Changes Required, but some Products like this cause more Problems, Costs, and Not Working. These need to Study and Revise such Products every Few Years that are more Workable and Answerable with EPA and ISO40001 Compliance. Soon Electric Cars will make these Inoperable Gas Caps Obsolete and these Kool Products Gas Can Caps can be used for other Purposes. Disposing these Plastic Caps and Cans with be Difficult as well. Globally we can do better together!

Fit Perfectly
I needed something to replace the CARB compliant monstrosity that I ended up breaking in frustration. The original gas can was probably 20 years old and only used for 2 cycle fuel, so I determined the best and cheapest course of action was putting a cap on it and using a funnel. The black cap fit perfectly, and my garage doesn't smell like gas anymore.
