I should’ve bought this first!!!
Why didn’t buy this product instead of tire dressings and gels? Yes, it’s a bit pricey but I spent more with the traditional products that didn’t have the durability and shine I was looking for. All I got was disappointments.Prep is key! I cleaned the tires with Super Clean Degreaser until all traces of old tire dressings, dirt, etc are removed. You can choose the level of shine you are looking for. From a clean tire appearance, satin finish to a “glazed holiday ham” look! I chose a step below the extreme gloss. I have 2 cars with 215/55 R17 and 235/65 R18. It took about 5 coats for the finish I wanted. You don’t need a lot of product. No need to have the applicator pad soaking wet. I start with 1 coat on the first tire. By the time I finish the fourth, the first tire is ready for another coat. I repeat the process until the desired shine. I still have lots of product left! I bet I can do a small rental fleet of cars! Not sure why the bad reviews? You must thoroughly clean the tires or you’ll have bad results. This product will stain everything! Make sure you have a damp towel on hand if you accidentally smear it on your wheels or any areas you don’t want it on. Wipe it off quickly or it’ll be near permanent stain.I just applied this as of this review. I was going to buy the Gloz product but I’m happy with Blak as a stand alone. I’m hoping it’ll last a long time through the harsh Florida sun and heat. Forecast for rain this week. I like to see if it holds up. Buy with confidence!

Great product!
You see a lot of gimmicks out there nowadays. It makes you question the legitimacy of almost everything you see and read. To be honest, I questioned this stuff and as soon as I placed the order I thought, these suckers got me.Thankfully, it wasn't a gimmick and it actually worked amazingly. Using it on tires was one thing that didn't make me wonder, but I used it on my wheel flares on the camper and on the running boards of our 2015 GMC... Dang! It legit turned back time. Both were extremely faded. The GMC was almost white it was so faded. The pics probably don't do it justice but made a huge difference. I did 2 coats and am very happy with the results. Strongly recommend! The biggest intimidator was how to apply it. From the manufacturers advice to all the YouTube how-to videos, it makes you rethink life. After several weeks of wanting to use it but not wanting to do it wrong, I finally just sent it. After a good cleaning, I just used the brush to apply it and the wet brush to wipe off areas I didn't want it. Pretty much that simple.I read somewhere that 1 kit will do a mid sized set of truck tires, so I got another kit with having a 1 ton. 1 kit did my truck, camper, and GMC running boards.

Liked It On First Use
Having used black tire dyes before, I liked the flat "new" tire finish but the dye did not last long enough and eventually turned the tire brown-ish. Despite costing much more, I liked the restorative polymer concept behind BLAK and the reports that it was not too shiny. For my first use, I removed the wheels from my car (I was rotating them anyway), washed and dried them thoroughly, then laid them over a plastic utility bucket, to raise them up and be able to turn them over and not scratch the finished side.My BLAK package included 2 block sponge applicators, 1 foam paint brush, and 2 nitrile gloves, which increased the value and allowed me to use the product without having to buy applicators.BLAK is really thin, almost like water, and I quickly learned to NOT squeeze the bottle. Instead, I allowed some BLAK to dribble out onto the sidewall and run around the rim. Using an included sponge block, I could then easily distribute the product. Two things to note: 1) shake the bottle before opening and in between coats and 2) do not over rub the product - just wipe on or distribute it then let it be.After applying 3 coats to both sides of 4 17-inch tires, I only used about 1.5 to 2 oz. With 3 coats, the tires were a little more shiny than I like but not too shiny. The shine eased a bit over a few weeks and looks really good, now.Having learned how little BLAK was actually needed, the cost turned out to be much less than the tire dye I had previously used and the finish is much more substantial. My car sits out in direct sunlight all day and the tires need good UV protection. BLAK also worked well on the rear bumper's rubber pad, after applying painters tape to protect the white bumper.I also contacted Renew Protect about some concerns and got actual replies from the owner! Now I have a better idea of what products to use for specific applications, how little product is needed per application, and how much longer the product will protect what it is applied to. I wish I had known about this company's products years ago, and not wasted so much money on inferior car care products. There is a bit of a learning curve to using the products but with a little practice and experience the results are outstanding. Having used polymer car care products for years, I'm glad that I finally found and tried BLAK, with RP.11 the next on my list to try. I think this company has the best polymers available to consumers.

Easy to apply. Tires look good after application.
Very easy to apply with the supplied accessories. They even give you a couple of Nitrile gloves to keep your hands clean! I haven't had it long enough to see if the tire black lasts as long as they claim, but my tires look way better than before.
