Having used this for a few weeks now, I can say it does its job as a bed protector. Nothing's gotten though it yet.The reason I deducted a star was because of how it feels. If you use any thin sheet covers, this thing is noticeable. It somewhat feels like a plastic sheet was put on the bed and it's also made laying on the bed a tad warmer because of that.Use a thicker sheet cover though, and that won't be a problem anymore.

I got this cover as a combo deal for the Tatame mattress. Note that the Tatame has its own cover that is removable and can be washed, so this cover is not utterly essential. With that said, the cover on the mattress is kind of soft and like a velour, while this one is just plain cotton. I really like the way the plain cotton feels after being washed.The best thing about this cover is that it adds to and accentuates the whole "simplicity" vibe of this mattress. Nothing could be more minimalist than the mattress wrapped in this plain cotton cover...I was provided a free sample in exchange for my honest review.

Great mattress cover but not designed for extra deep mattresses which luckily I don't have.

This mattress protector works perfectly on my tataME bed. It fits very well and protects it nicely. Here are some thoughts:-Protection: This is legit waterproof. I put some water in the middle and it never soaked in. It's composed of a soft, outter layer and some type of thin plastic on the inside. I love the it goes over the whole mattress, not just a fitted sheet type design.-Fit: This fits very well. My only issue with this is that it's a little difficult for me to get on and off. My 11 year old definitely can't do it herself. Maybe there's a trick I haven't found out though. It has a zipper around about 75% of it and the rest is attatched. To put it on we lift up half of the mattress and slide this on the lifted portion. Then we shimmy it down that until we can't move it any further. Then we lift the other half and someone pulls it to the end of the mattress on the top and bottom. It's a two man job to make it easier and takes a couple minutes.-Wash: It goes in the washing machine and comes out perfectly. No ripping of the plastic or breakdown of the materials.-Overall, this is a great mattress. I wish it was a little easier to take off and put on. Not a huge deal since we don't need to do it often, but if you are in a postion that you wash it a couple times a week it might be annoying. I was sent this for testing and review purposes. That has no bearing on my rating or review of it, this is my honest opinon.

Sometimes it is a full on workout to get them on or you get them on and they're loose or you can hear them when you sleep on them, there are tons of things that can go wrong with mattress covers.I had none of those issues with this cover. It actually went on so easily that when I was doing my video review for the mattress I had to show us putting the cover on because I couldn't believe how easily it was going on.This unzips 3/4 of the way around. All we did was take the bottom and set the mattress on top of it and then tuck the two ends into the "pockets" on the one end that doesn't unzip and then zip it up. It fits so well that you will actually hear me in the video asking if the company sent the wrong size because it looked like it wasn't going to work.The outside of this cover has the same hand as bedsheets. You actually can not tell it is a cover when you have it on, it just looks like a sheet. Although the inside is obviously waterproof it doesn't feel or sound like you are sleeping on plastic while it is on. The green pinstripe around the edge is a nice touch as well.If you are on the fence about whether or not you need a cover let me say this. When we first got our existing mattress it came with covers that were like fitted sheets and never stayed on. It was then that I discovered stains near my feet on the mattress, for the life of me I couldn't figure out where they were coming from. Then one day I realized that it was the same place that our dog would sleep (under the blankets) and it turns out he would drool in sleep and it left stains all over my mattress, so gross. Also, if you are a parent think of any time your kid has peed or been sick in your bed, imagine how much easier that would be to clean if all you had to do is take off a cover and throw it in the washer. That's just my two cents .If you're on the fence, get it. They don't get much better than this cover. Just remember it will only work on a tataME mattress.I received this complimentary product for my honest and unbiased review.
