I do hookah sometimes so I keep these for parties. It's a great value for your money since these go for ore than $3.00 per roll at your local store. They light quickly and donlt have that awful smell. Good quality coals.

It's very easy to burn. I use a butane lighter, and I barely need to have the flame on it for 3 seconds before the little sparks start racing across the surface of the charcoal. I am then able to add my Farnkincense or Myrrh resins to it. Although I have also reversed the order and placed the resin on top of the charcoal first and then lit. Both work very well. Also, it burns for a long time. At the end, it all turns to complete ash, which makes for easy clean up. I would advise opening the packs as you are going to use them. If you leave a pack open for too long (not sure how long, but I am thinking for months without using them), they may lose their ability to light fast.

As always, if you are going to use anything that is a potential fire hazard, be careful and take caution. With that being said, these charcoal discs worked very well. As advertised, when I lit one, there was some smoke but not too much, and while there was an initial odor, it wasn’t over powering. Be sure you are in a well ventilated area of your home when you use these, so you can ensure you don’t unintentionally trigger the fire alarm. If using for burning sage or any type of smudging, take caution and never leave unattended. I’m very happy with this product and would recommend it.

I love these they work excellent. The initial smell of the fuel burning off as they “self light” or whatever can be a litttttle strong. I usually light it and then set it outside until that smell burns off before I use them.

Good price. Burn well. I add sand to slow the process with resins
