A Jay in the Jacaranda Tree

Don't buy this book if you want a book that sets out to be funny and looks at Greek life through rose tinted glasses. Do buy this book if you're interested in the reality of living on Rhodes, Greece... mind you, there are funny bits too. As someone who has lived in Kritsa, Crete for many years I can directly relate to much in the book.

Thoroughly enjoyed this latest book from John Manuel. Although some of it overlapped with other offerings of his (Ramblings from Rhodes blog) it was still a great read and gave an insight into how it would feel to spend a decade, plus, immersed in Greek life.Highly recommended!
