3.5x2.5m Manual Awning Window Door Sun Weather Shade w/Handle Thick Retractable Canopy Outdoor Garden Shield Grey

Fitted this yesterday but due to the intermittent heavy showers didn’t get to enjoy it , the awning itself seems good quality and matches our colour scheme perfectly . Fitting was straight forward enough but I urge whomever the buyer of the fittings is to take action over the purchasing of the expansion bolts , extremely poor quality indeed . Try as we might to tighten these , they did not expand enough as the nut just kept on turning when attempting to secure the brackets to the wall . On closer inspection these are incredibly flimsy , did not provide a secure grip as you’d expect when taking the weight of the awning into consideration. I have attached pictures ( 1st & 2nd image sliver in colour I cannot believe these fittings passed quality control ! We were able to purchase superior ones ( 3rd image ) from a local supplier for just under £4 and were then able to secure the brackets to the wall as intended. Surely this not beyond the manufacturers to rectify and this is also a health and safety consideration given what could occur if this item is not properly secured . Not sure who the technical author is for the instructions but they need to communicate with team that design the awning as it states the bolt/ nut to secure the awning into the brackets go in from the top . This is not possible due the very tight space so the bolt goes in from the bottom and the nut goes on top which allows enough room to tighten it securely. The above factor of the poor fitting materials is the sole reason we have not awarded 5 stars across the board as the awning itself seems good quality which we are looking forward to enjoying when the weather improves and the fact is the fittings are an integral part of this item so no excuses on that front . That we did not have complete confidence that this item would have been as secure using the supplied expansion fittings ,then having to source our own fittings to ensure it was safer is not a great advertisement for what is otherwise a good product . Don’t forget to purchase a cover to protect your awning , we managed to obtain 1 at a great price which was put to the test by a very heavy downpour moments after we fitted it .

Good value for money. Looks good & easy to operate. Would suggest purchasing stronger expansion bolts for a sturdier fit.

This large canopy needs 2 people to fit,but very good quality

Really like the product, but ensure you check the packaging as was missing the handle to open and close, but when i formed the company they were quick to give a slight discou t to purchase one my self as no spares held. Would highly recommend though.

You'll need 2 people to fix it on the wall. I used only what I found inside the pack and it looks very sturdy despite what other people commented about the quality of the fixings. I live in a very windy area and I left it open, so far so good. Totally recommend it for this price.

It matched my needs perfectly though, I hadn’t taken into account the way the mechanism sticks up above the holding pole, luckily it JUST fitted!!! Very easy to extend and close. Only reasons for the 4 Star for ease of installation is that it is quite cumbersome and heavy, and is certainly a two person instal. Plus: the supplied bolts did not look up to the job, at all! So I replaced with a sturdier set

I bought a canopy less than 1 year ago I have noticed the material begging to rot I contacted seller and was told only 6 months warranty on their goods so they cannot do anything STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY in my opinion

The awning itself seems to be good quality, but the material isn't as taut as the pictures would seem and the expansion bolts are terrible. I had to by heavy duty rawl bolts and you could deform the expansion bolt case they provided with your fingers. Bar that it's pretty easy to put up, especially as it's premade, even as one person and a ladder. I just worry what the actual level of quality is when the fixing they provide as so poor.
