Yes these are good for marshmallows and hotdogs. That's the short review. Going a little deeper; they're a bit more flimsy than I expected once telescoped, but they never feel like they're going to bend or break. They're just a little shy from the thickness and strength I imagined. Another thing to note is that the tips are rather sharp. These are probably not super safe around small kids without supervision. I don't understand why the tips are so unnecessarily sharp considering you're only supposed to be pushing marshmallows (or hotdogs) on them.Minor gripes aside, if you can get them for the right price, they're a pretty good item.

Super compact little things! I like that. They did the trick for my camping trip. I did not find the orange camps to be difficult to remove at all and was grateful to have them so that the pointy parts don't put holes in the little bag. Good, cost effective purchase.

Great length but somewhat flimsy when cooking heavier foods such as brats. Overall solid value. Excellent for marshmallows!

Love these roasting sticks. They are retractable and easy to store in the bag. They come in different colored handles so you can keep track of whose is whose. They also have rubber caps for the prongs for safety. My kids love them, and we have been using them alot

This is really cool !! We love them. Color coded for many people. Plenty sturdy for marshmallows. Store easy because they fold out. Great price and very happy with the product.

These were nice and kept you away from the fire, but the kids got their fingers burned while trying to get the marshmallow off the sticks. They kept grabbing the middle of the stick to try to get the marshmallow off for smores. So did I once with out thinking. They were a pain to clean sticky marshmallow off too. We ended up just using sticks. No mess and you dont get burned by the stick

Works good for marshmallows, but quarter pound hot dogs wouldn't stay on. The whole shaft gets hot. So because they extend out, they collapse back in when you try to put something back on the forks, so you have to let them cool down before you can put anything else back on.
