After several hours of play, connection points (flaps and ball joints) were breaking leaving less usable pieces.

I don’t write many reviews for Amazon purchases, but I had to for this item. We purchased the 170-piece version of this toy a year ago for my then six-year old grandson to play with when he visits. Ever since whenever he comes over he makes a bee-line for this toy (which we’ve taken to just leaving out in the living room for him) and he plays with it unsupervised for hours, creating all sorts of imaginative creatures and constructions and engaging in imaginative fantasy play with them. He is also crazy about Legos, but seems to prefer this toy, perhaps because he only gets to play with at his grandparents’ house. He likes this toy so much, we bought a second 170- piece bucket to expand his play. It’s been over a year now (he’s now 7. 1/2) and his interest in this toy shows no signs of waning. The ratio of dollars spent to hours of creative fun for our grandson make it one of the best toy buys I have ever done, and we raised three kids and have bought plenty of toys over the years. It may not be as a big hit with every child, but this is the experience we have had.

These are fantastic, my son has mild autism but he is obsessed with building and blocks and the regular blocks are great he has them all the big ones, the medium size and the Lego size but these are fantastic they let him be more creative. He always has them out they are very cool 😎

The media could not be loaded.  Both my 4 and 5 yr old love this set. It's room them a couple days to get used to the pieces bc they don't own anything like it, and I even thought that my 5 yr oldbmay be too young for it bc the instructions were not very clear and struggled to do the models by hjmi. But we are on week 2, and they have thrown out the instructions And are making all kinds of boat that turns into a car, double robot, etc. It helped that i showed them the different ways they could connect them bc there is more than once way. This set has been keeping them busy!

Great grandson loved them and so did his older brothers! They had a lot of fun building and creating thing! Great fun and educational!

My grandson loves to build, so let their vision and creativity flow from their imagination. Get them off the screens and use their hands and motor skills to create . And fun to share the experience with a friend too !.Kids need to get back to social skills and interacting. Grandpa even likes to build with him. says I never had toys like this when I was a kid. Good job Grandpa !

I bought these for a friend who babysits her 7 year old grandchild at her apartment after school. He complained of boredom as she has a small apartment and not a lot of toys. It's been over three weeks since she got them and he still plays with them constantly. His three year old sister like them, too. Might have to get more.

I don’t own any original Zoobs but looking at these, they do look like they would be compatible. Anyways, my 2.5 and 5.5 year old love these. The 2.5 yo needed help pushing some pieces together at first, but now he’s got it down.
