It’s Balm Moisturizing Lip Color, Hydrating Tinted Balm, Canyon Rose

The texture of this balm could not be more perfect. It isn't sticky, cakey or oily and leaves your lips feeling so moisturized and smooth! It's also a beautiful color (I am quite pale with some freckles on my cheeks and nose, somewhat thinner lips, and blue gray eyes) and, as the name suggests, can be made more vibrant with additional coats. Overall, this is probably some of the best balm I've ever used. Will definitely be a repeat customer!

To be clear- I LOVE this lipstick/gloss/balm. It really is quite a bit more lipstick than it is balm, so be aware that it carries a lot of color on the first swipe. Building it really pushes the color deep in to your lips, and it lasts a long time, and the balm part makes it smooth as silk. It's the colors that you have to watch out for. I chose the Vamped Up first. I'm a brunette with very light skin. It is very dark, rich, and purple/pink. Later I saw a new color- Black Cherry. It looked slightly more reddish. Less pink, anyway. When I got it and put it on, I thought oh, I must have grabbed the Vamped Up again by mistake. Nope! To check, I swiped both on my arm, the way the ad shows how the colors will look different. I laughed to see that they were exact! It's fine, because it's a very flattering color, but don't expect red tones. Also, I'm not sure why some reviewers complain about the packaging. You have to push the top back on until you hear a CLICK. That's when it's on! Nothing is falling off in your purse/bag, as long as you clicked it. There is no scent to the product, as far as I can tell. No flavor either. I've been using it for a few months, and I find my lips are as moisturized as if I'd been using Burt's Bees, so I really like this product and will be buying again.

I was totally pumped to try the Julep Lip Balm after hearing all the hype about its amazing colors and how it's super moisturizing. And yeah, it definitely delivers on the hydration front, but there were a few things that left me wanting more. Pros: Super hydrating: This balm is like a drink of water for your lips. Tons of colors: There's a shade for every mood or outfit. Smooth application: It glides on like butter. Natural ingredients: Vitamin E and good stuff for your lips. Cons: Tricky applicator: It can be a bit finicky to get the perfect line. Shine fades fast: The gloss doesn't last as long as I'd like. Overall, the Julep Lip Balm is a pretty good bet if you're all about hydration and want a pop of color. It's like a comfy blanket for your lips, but the shine doesn't last as long as I'd like. And let's be real, the applicator is a bit tricky. But if you love the colors and don't mind a touch-up every now and then, it's definitely worth checking out.

I really wanted to love this lip balm because I’m already a fan of the brand, and the Brown Sugar shade is truly pretty — the pigment is nice, it goes on smoothly, and it has that subtle shimmer that makes your lips look a little more awake than you feel. The texture is great: soft, moisturizing, and easy to swipe on without thinking. It definitely gives a nice sheen, and I can see why some people feel like it lasts awhile. But for me? It was just okay. Not bad, not amazing — just fine. Some days the color stayed put, other days it vanished faster than my patience when someone says “quick meeting.” For the price, I guess I just expected a little more staying power or hydration magic. There are other tinted balms out there that do more for the same (or less) cost. I don’t regret trying it, and it is pretty… but I probably wouldn’t buy it again.

I ordered Dusty Orchid Shimmer on a whim. I don’t usually spend $14.95 on lip color at this point in my life(I used to buy top of the line make up from department stores). I have to say this is a nice product! It’s worth the money because the color is great and flattering, it’s not sticky nor Does it disappear Immediately after you put it on. The color is buildable, but then it comes off more easily. It’s moisturizing and the color lasts if you don’t go crazy with it. There are several colors I’d love to try. But I think I’ll try this one out for longer than a couple of days before I invest in more. But if you feel like treating yourself to a nice moisturizing lip color, I say go for it with this product! I do use a lip liner with it, as with other, sheer Or moisturizing lip products because I’m 56 and my lip outline can use a little boost to keep it neat and keep the color in place. I used a neutral Sephora lip balm with it and it was fine. The color blended and didn’t look weird. It looked natural but finished in attractive way! I don’t like to include photos with my reviews, but if I was going to, this would be a product that I would take a selfie with (If I took selfies regularly and not just to make sure look OK and then delete the photo). I looked too much like my mom and my dad in selfies for my own comfort, even though I’m MUCH thinner than either of them! Too thin to feel comfortable with random photos of myself. Blah, blah, blah! My point here is that it’s a great product so far and if you want a nice product without going overboard, I highly recommend this. Even without trying it on, and only a photo of the color and some reviews to go on I took a chance and it really was worth it! Normally, I buy Burt’s Bees colored lip balm, but this lip color lasts longer. It doesn’t have the nice minty taste- In fact, it has no discernible taste at all, which I find unusual. No fragrance like Chanel products. No taste like Burt’s Bees etc. Just moisturizing color that stays in place, especially if you use Lip liner because you’re getting a little bit older or you just appreciate a very neat lip outline! 👄 Thanks for taking the time to read this review and I hope it helps! Canyon Rose is brighter than I thought it would be but still a nice color. Have probably 5 different colors of Julep balms. My lips are always dry and the balm really hydrates. I never wear lipstick anymore and only wear balms. This looks like lipstick and compared to other balms last a long time. It’s not a long-wearing lipstick so you may have to reapply a couple of times during the day but it is so hyrdrating and beautiful colors that I don’t care if I had to reapply 5 times it’s worth it.

Feels wonderful. I have already received many compliments. The color is superb and it is a great fall stable. It feels very moisturizing as well. Great buy.

I've been trying this out for a couple of weeks now and I wish I liked the product more, but it fails to follow through on the concept of being a lip balm or moisturizing. In fact, "more like a lipstick than a lip balm" could be a tagline for this product and I've removed it from the following just so I wouldn't keep repeating it. Color: I selected Cherry Wood. It's a bit more pink-shifted than I thought it would be based on the description and swatching image. It is VERY bold and because of that... Moisturizing: I absolutely have to blot to tame the color a little and to keep it from smearing onto literally everything it possibly can. Blotting unfortunately means that the little bit of barely-there semi-gloss disappears too. And even the glimmer of any HOPE of moisture is eliminated. I did give it some time to test it without blotting it like a lipstick and it was not pleasant for me. Either way, I didn't get much in the way of moisture for my lips from this product. It was more drying than most lipsticks, somehow. Appearance: It never reached anything I'd consider even a semi-gloss, in truth. It went on heavy and dark, but I just couldn't feel or see the effects of the moisturizing features. It highlighted every fine line in my lips and after it caused some dryness, it really drew attention to the places where the skin on my lips wanted to peel off. Application: It was not 'ultra smooth' as the copy suggests and the applicator gets messy. Not much else to say about that. Overall, not really happy with this purchase, and certainly not happy with it for the price. If it were closer to $5 or less, that might feel okay but $14 does not. It's not the worst product I've used but it is only barely above that.

Penso sia diventato ufficialmente il mio lip balm preferito, colora e ammorbidisce le labbra in modo del tutto naturale! Sicuramente comprerò in altre colorazioni.

It glides smoothly.The color needs to be built .medium staying power.Not many color choices.
