I mainly use the device to program 28C256 and 28C16 EEPROM chips and test 74xx logic ICs, and I have to say they really work phenomenally. The official software available for download is quite easy to use, with multiple languages available (I mainly use Chinese and English). The only downside is that the official software is only available on Windows; there is one unofficial command-line interface for *nix systems (search up Minipro on Gitlab), but it does not support logic IC testing. Overall, very good quality.

I’ve been using this programmer to specifically burn ATMEL AT27C256R PROMs, and it does that perfectly well. Downloading the software was a bit scary to do since the website is foreign, but so far no Trojan Horses or other nefarious payloads came with it that Norton identified. The xgpro software is intuitive, and the part library appears massive.

#1 Software. Xgpro current version v11.81 is on autoelectric (.cn) because its in china #2 Drivers Drivers must be installed with administrative privileges. If you get error code 10 (cannot start the device) you need to put your computer in TEST MODE (this disabled signature enforcing policy allowing driver to install) Device MUST BE CONNECTED DIRECTLY TO THE MOTHERBOARD (some USB hubs will work so be sure to use direct connection if you are having trouble with the software not recognizing the device or saying DEMO under device status, indicating its not connected) #3 1st time use. It will prompt to select correct device. You will then need to flash update the device from the software menu. #4 USE You DO NOT NEED 1.8v adapter if you are using 1.8v chip. It will work without the adapter as long as you select the correct chip. Not sure if auto detect works at all. I didn have much luck.

The feature of being to plug in an unknown logic chip, auto-identify and test it is worth the price.

Quedé sorprendido al utilizar este programador siempre leía que el mismo era obsoleto pero estoy maravillado con el mismo estoy usando el último sofware Xgpro v10.75,lo considero excelente.
