Cut to Size Copper Flat Bar. Copper Alloy C110 also known as electrolytic tough pitch (ETP) copper, is used most in electric current carrying applications. 110 Copper is 99.9% pure copper with an electrical conductivity rating of 100+ % IACS. Conductivity, corrosion resistance, and ductility makes 110 Copper very versatile over a broad range of applications

That is what is so cool about the demo
We used this for a lenz's Law demonstration. Lenz's law is a common way of understanding how electromagnetic circuits obey Newton's third law and the conservation of energy. Lenz's law is named after Heinrich Lenz, and it says: If an induced current flows, its direction is always such that it will oppose the change which produced it.We take a powerful magnet called a neodymium magnet and drop it. It falls a lot slower over the copper plate. Copper is not magnetic though. That is what is so cool about the demo. Currents are induced in the plate. This makes effectively the plate act like the same pole as the magnet falling toward it. Great for engineering and physics demonstrations.
